Rodgers was Andrew Scott. Interesting to see a straight actor play the gay Hart and Scott the straight Rodgers. No argument from me that good actors can play all kinds of roles.

Andrew Scott was huge box office when he performed his one-man VANYA in New York.

This was the Times review from earlier this year.
https://www.nytimes.com/2025/03/18/theater/andrew-scott-vanya-review.html
"Review: Eight Andrew Scotts in a Heartbreaking Solo ‘Vanya’
Playing all the characters in an update of Chekhov, the Irish actor turns what could be merely a stunt into a tour de force."

Got everything organized on the laptop. I'll just take a quick shower in about fifteen minutes.

Many on Facebook like Blue Moon. I guess I'll be in the minority. I really wanted to like it.

John G, vibes that you're feeling better today.

The back is still sore. I’m wondering if it’s the mattress.

Do you have a Saatva store near you? I looked, the closest one to you is in Austin.  We love our mattress, and the store is unlike any other mattress store and worth a visit even if you don't buy anything.  They call them viewing rooms.

Saatva viewing room locations.

I found my High Spirits PC and listened to the Broadway cast album and bits of the London cast, which has inferior sound to the OBC. Edward Woodward is so wonderful, I can't believe he never did another musical; I love his voice. My friend Denis Quilley on the London recording is equally good, but none of the London ladies match their Broadway counterparts. The London orchestrations are the original, but they've been adjusted for Jan Waters voice, which is higher and Louise Troy's. As to the score, I must disagree with JohnG.  I really like it, and I think the lyrics are quite wonderful.

I really like it, too. I just like Make a Wish more.

I think the only movie I've seen that was released this year was Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale, which I enjoyed a lot as an Abbey fan. I wanted to see more but they leave the theaters so quickly these days.

Of course I've seen a lot of movies in our film classes. The one I missed this week was Top Hat, so I'll have to stream that before our final class the week after Thanksgiving.
