Why am I awake at 3:30? Little tummy ache. But a glass of water helped.

TOD: The only thing I want is turkey, stuffing (properly made), and gravy. Maybe mashed potatoes to hold more gravy.

No one knew where our water shutoff valve was when we moved in here. There is a  main curbside one, but you really want to use one at the house. I was able to find it in the deep recesses of our crawlspace, which, luckily, is more of a walking-around space. I hope your mom’s place has one other than the street one.

A friend of Mrs Rodz is in town. We’ll take her on a tour of Vancouver and eat at a restaurant there. Likely no turkey this year. What I eat most, traditionally, is mashed potatoes and corn. I do not ever eat cranberry gunk.

George, your story about the appliances at your mom's house in last night's posts was really interesting!

Wae-Ling texted me last night. She's alone for the holiday this year and asked if she could come help cook the turkey.

I don't like the cranberry gunk that comes from the can.

But Skip made a great cranberry relish (which I chose not to wait until Thanksgiving to try).

Too warm last night, so I turned the AC on to 65 degreesF. By 3:45, when I woke for a bathroom break, all three cats were in bed with me. It was about 40+ degrees in the apartment. Stella didn't stay long, but Annabelle wanted under the blankets, where she settled in the curve if my back and hips while Thatch was happy sleeping next to my back and shoulders.

Yesterday morning, I was set to begin writing the ballet prelude when my neighbor Ann, whom I've not seen in weeks beccause of her schedule, stopped by. She told me about the opning night of Chess, and we caught up on all that'oing on at 202 West 82. Then she was off to the matinee of the Bobby Darin musical.

As for the TOD: I'm in sync with DR Laura: turkey, stuffing, mashed potatoes, and gravy' it's a carbohydrate day with cranberries to cut the starch.

I had a weird night of sleep / no sleep. At 10 pm I was ready to call it a night, having had a very active and hectic day. I turned off the light and fell asleep in pretty short order. I woke up, thinking it was nearly morning... at 11:17 pm. Lordy. Then back to sleep, again waking briefly a couple more times, until 2:48 when I got up to use the necessary. And then... and then... I lay there wide awake... until sometime after 5:00 am when I mercifully fell asleep and finally awoke at 8:00 am.
