The Carnegie Hall website says that Jack Viertel's show there in March 2026 was cancelled.

Leonard is very talkative this morning. I'm always worried he's telling me he's sick or something, but I don't think that's the case. He never gets into human food, so I'm sure it's not a tummy ache.

Vibes he is fine and is talking because he feel good.

I appreciated all of the comments regarding Blue Moon and related to it.  We did not last long watching it and stopped not long after Elizabeth arrived at the bar.

Washer and dryer are IN and have just completed an initial "clean out" cycle.

Let's all fervently hope this means our long national nightmare is over.

My closet is also done (except for the re-carpeting) and usable (except for the re-carpeting). Said re-carpeting will happen when the carpet guy returns from his big family Thanksgiving visit to the Napa Valley. I've at least got my clothes out of the bathroom and hung back up, which is nice.

Today, I dropped the kids off at their Canadian school, Mrs R and her friend took the ferry to Victoria, and I can now sit and crank up some vinyl treasures.

Let’s start with pianist Eddie Heywood, a favorite of mine. On “Portrait of an Island” he performs his suite honoring Martha’s Vineyard.

Eddie wrote “Canadian Sunset” and “Soft Summer Breeze,” and, as his 1950s LP covers will tell you, he lost the ability to use his hands for awhile. But he got it back. This is from 1973 on some private label.

Yay.  Vibes you are very happy with your new washer and dryer.  I hope you replaced the hose and vent.

My low PT count has gone up from 114 in August to 141 today....the lowest number in the GREEN range is 150 - so I think I am improving.

Great news on the PT count. As PT Barnum once said, there’s a flavored vitamin B12 tablet to suck on every minute.

I have moved on from Eddie Heywood but stayed in the piano realm. A composer named Dane Rudhyar’s work, performed by Michael Sellars under the composer’s supervision. Presented by the Yehudi Menuhin Foundation on Orion Records out of Los Angeles using the “Super Stereo Sound Dolby Process.” Also from 1973.

Dane Rudhyar “pioneered in the integration of depth-psychology, astrology and a cyclocosmic philosophy of existence.”

So say the liner notes.

DR Jrand75 is scraping ice, driving on ice, and watching ice on the teevee. I am beginning to sense a theme here.
