Last night I dreamed that Joshie and I were cleaning up the dreadful rental materials for Jacques Brel Is Alive and Well and Living in Paris.

Whoa. What a subject for a dream!

My first theeder involvement in this area, in 1992, was as rehearsal pianist for a community production, and I ended up playing their opening weekend because of some delay or other with the person who was supposed to do it. (I believe I got reviewed favorably, under the other person's name, because no mention was made of the substitution.)  :)   Anyway, it was a small production that I'm sure had very little to recommend it, in addition to the fact that it was only piano. But I look at the copy of the score I made, and am stunned to think that I played all those rehearsals, and that one weekend, with that. (I haven't looked at it in a while -- there were no vocal parts on the piano/instrumental score, right? I had to use the vocal book to pound the notes? I need to take it out and get to know it again.)

The vocal parts are in the vocal book.

DR Ginny, I'm happy you and Richard (and our DR George) enjoyed Merrily We Roll Along. I won't be watching it till it ends up on Amazon Prime or Netflix.

Well, DR Elmore, we’re big fans of these filmed opportunities to see things we used to go to New York to see.

And was I your assistant like when you directed that show here in Ohio?

DR FREDDIE that was SOME dancing!

This is one of them in evening wear.  The moves, while G-rated, are a bit suggestive. I wonder if they're bachelorette party dancers.

Between my enjoying twinsauce and the Gardiner Brothers, and watching several of the interview videos on the gay hockey miniseries, I think the algorithm has figured out something about what videos to send me.

Topic of the Day:  the just released brand new CD from Janis Siegel (formerly of The Manhattan Transfer) and San Gabriel 7 called "Optimistic."  I ordered it back in August and it's finally here:

Enjoy your new CD.

Today is the release of the new episode of HEATED RIVALRY.

There's a spoiler about episode 3 going around that I was VERY happy to know in advance, but in case you want to avoid it, I'll put a spoiler alert.

SPOILER ALERT - but I'm glad to know it

Episode 3 focuses on a different hockey player than episodes 1 and 2.

Sing, Baby, Sing, featuring everyone’s favorite, the Ritz Brothers?

And everyone’s actual favorite, Alice Faye?

Alice did three films with the Ritzes and her 1962 Reprise LP “Alice Faye Sings Her Famous Movie Hits” features songs from all three movies.

I hate when that happens and it is happening way too much and I'm assuming is related to my Myasthenia. I think what happens is these pills fixed the double vision, the droopy lid and the speech stuff, so the brain looks for other things to mess with. Perhaps the new IV drip thing will take care of this crap.

Some Alice Faye from the 1970s - thought the Broadway revival didn't succeed, this was on the Tonys show

I'll head over to the Hills of Woodland in thirty minutes or so, pick up what I have to pick up, then go directly to meet David Wechter for a fine Mexican meal.
