You don't have to spend a lot of money on a Nativity set. This one is quite ap-PEAL-ing. But it may not last the full 12 days of Christmas.
Earlier in the week, when trhe chill became unbearable, I opened the radiator gauge. No heat, and I've had no heat for most of the week. So, yesterday morning, I finally called the building maintenance and reported the problem. Around 4:30 yesterday, a very nce repairman showed up, checked my radiator and advised me that the problem was not in my radiator but an issue in the basement, which could not be repaired until Monday. So, last night the temperature dropped around 6:00 or so to a level I found mpossible to live with, and by 6:30 I decided to go to bed. The cats and I bundled up for a long winter's night with two bathroom breaks. The alarm rang at 6:00 this morning, and we've been taking our time to get here.
Today would have been my dad's 104th birthday. I miss him.
Mel Torme recorded one of my favorite Christmas albums. Here’s his swinging version of Good King Wenceslas. https://youtu.be/eCt_C7XCMKg?si=4TZLVSqknxdz9GmN

We've got at least two inches of snow here. I'll have to get out there soon and see how well I can clear the path for getting out to my matinee.
Yesterday as soon as I turned the board to page three - I was struck by something.....Just very sick and unable to do anything except walk slowly around the house from here to there.A bit better this morning but I shall probably stay abed most of the day.
Dennis the Smart Car is not happy about the weather.
I'm happy to report that Annabelle & Thatch now has twenty-three 5-star Amazon reviews, which I find rather exciting!
George, thank for the congrats to Keith last night.
New notes are not up because I'm just about to start writing them. I hate when that happens, but blame the excruciatingly bad movie I just endured. If there was ever a movie that defined Oscar bait, here we have it in full splendor.

I can’t get past the headlines about the shootings in Australia. Just too horrific to think about.
Alibris has the new book on Sondheim and puzzles on sale, though postage eats up most of the savings.
