Had an email from City Wok. How they got my email is anyone's guess. Anyway, he explained that the new cardboard packaging is due to not being able to use the plastic ones anymore. Not sure how true that is or if other jernts just haven't implemented it, but mac and cheese arrived in plastic container, everything from Maria's Kitchen arrives in plastic container, etc. He assured me portions are measured out exactly - all I know is how many servings I usually do as compared to the last thing, which was one less. He was sorry the delivery took so long and offered me a gift card, which I'll probably pick up next Monday. I understand it's easy to get my phone number because the driver's have it - and, of course, Grubhub or DoorDash or Postmates have my email address but not sure why they'd give it out.

I honestly can't remember if I did an updated review or if whoever I talked to on the phone just passed it along and they figured out WHICH was my order?

Nope, never did an update to my five-star review - wonder if he's seen that?

Maybe because you'd previously given them a five-star review, they wanted to please you?

Mystery solved - I wrote them via their website, that's how he had my email and stuff.

I may now watch that Christmas Carol ballet. Had no idea it was choreographed by Christopher Gable. If you don't know the name, he plays opposite Twiggy in The Boy Friend and also choreographed quite a bit of the film.

After two years of antisemitic graffiti, threats and slurs with glue put in the door locks, break-ins and human faeces thrown at his windows, the owner of Avner’s in Sydney never let it get to him.  After the shooting in Bondi he has decided to close the bakery  :(

Another Jewish place, Lox In A Box, was hit with one-star and antisemitic Google reviews following the shooting.  Google has since removed them.

Well, it’s hard to be a total Grinch when your house smells as good as ours does now 🧑🏼‍🍳

The brownies I started making in my Easy Bake Oven in 1967 are ready now, if any of you want one.

We had a video chat with Freyja and watched her open our present, plus another gift.  She was sick the first three nights of Chanukah.

Clark County Utilities posted an update that many people are still without power.  Again, we feel very fortunate to have ours back.

"WIND ADVISORY IN EFFECT FROM 8 AM TO 7 PM PST THURSDAY."

It doesn't look as if the wind will be as strong as it was last night.

We saw a crew working today removing trees along our walking bath and close to the road.  We don't know if the trees were all down to begin with or a mix of being in danger of falling.  Hopefully they got all of the trees of concern.

I took as much Shakespeare as I could in undergrad. I’ve seen many staged, and I’ve read many for fun. But I’ve never been moved to attempt King John.

I think that's for the best.
