Was such a clear day this morning, you could see trees and ski trails on the mountains beyond Vancouver.

I was gonna ask if you couldn't see the chorus for the trees.

  • What is it, fish?

The sun came out for a while. So good to see it! More rain expected today and tomorrow, but it’s had a chance to soak in. Some areas were hit very hard, especially the burn scar areas. I really feel for those folks.

Sorry about your acid attack. Do you ever drink alkaline water? Both Trader Joe’s and WF have  good alkaline water under their own labels. I find it very helpful for both prevention and treatment. Cheap and easy, too.

I have never made this myself, but have heard plenty of testimonies to its wonderfulness:

I had no plans for dinner; Jen is in Italy with her brothers, Ann was, until yesterday, in Boston with her dad and fearing she had Covid again, and Joshie is in Vermont with his family. So, I was going to find something in the fridge or pantry. This  morning Ann showed up to say hello. She and her dad drove down yesterday ro have dinner today with her sister.

So, Ann just showed up with turkey, mashed potatoes, sweet potatoes, stuffing, and turkey for me, all from her sister's dinner party and all quite deelish! And all a completely unexpected surprise.

I finished my workload today by 12:30. I have tomorrow and Saturday to finish the last number. I expect more from Joshie next week.

Every year the royal family does a Christmas walk and fans hand them presents.  This year Prince William was handed a giant Lindt chocolate ball for seven year old Louis.  Here he is hanging on to his chocolate ball.

The Darling Daughter and I had a splendidly splendid visit - and thankfully the hand behaved splendidly as well. We had some spaghetti and tuna pasta salad, and she agreed the sauce was the best it's been. Also, a chocolate donut. She gave me the usual scratchers, the last of which was a winner for fifteen bucks.

I also opened the two gifts I got hast night - couldn't believe it - from Amy and Mark a book about classical music recordings AND a gift card for Capital Grill! And Robert Yacko gave me a gift card for the Smoke House. Good eatin' ahead, baby.
