I wouldn't mind eating at Plaza Jalisco's again.  It was good and I have been craving Mexican food.

I just watched a video of the water rushing through the LA River.  I actually find the river more fascinating in its usual state of dry concrete ;D

I'm happy we missed our Christmas storms by being on the east coast. Lick Observatory near us was significantly damaged when one of the telescope shutters tore off and crashed onto the roof of the great hall. We have a singer friend who works up there so her Christmas didn't go quite as planned.

No damage that I can see in our neighborhood, but we didn't have the wind gusts of over 100 mph like Mt. Hamilton did.

And with that thought:

Mariah Carey - All I Want for Christmas Is You
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=aAkMkVFwAoo

This song always reminds me of Darlene Love's annual performance of "Christmas (Baby Please Come Home)" on the David Letterman Show.  Someone put together a "supercut" edit of many of her performances over the years:

Bay City Rollers had a singer named Duncan Faure, no relation to one of BK’s favorite composers.

I paid $2.09 a gallon at Circle K last night.

Wow!  We're just over $3 in my area...lower than it's been in quite a while.

Saturday afternoon greetings!  You probably figured out that Richard and I were away for Christmas week.  Last Monday we drove to Wheaton, IL, to spend the holiday with our grandchildren (and their parents, of course).  After 3 glorious days, yesterday morning we packed our car and supervised the kiddos while the parents packed their car.  We departed for Ohio and they were right behind us on their way to visit the other grandparents in Michigan.

Glad you had a great time, Ginny. :)

I had the Nog and it was really good:

I'm meeting up with my high school friends for our quasi-monthly dinner together.  We reconnected at our 40th high school reunion last year and have been dining and just having good times.

Until later!
