First take of vocal was really warming up but I just don't have the control over the tone that I usually have. I think the engineer was worried.

Then from those two takes I put together a seamless vocal and we played that, I noted the lines that I had to cover, about seven, and then I went back, at least warmed up now, and covered the seven lines and a couple of others just to try doing them better.

We comped that and I was as happy as I'm gonna be with it and the engineer was happy, too. I think when he finesses my vocal into the mix, which he'll do on his own, it will be fine. I also recorded a hidden track.

Then we finessed the other four mixes we hadn't finessed and that was that. He'll send me the hi-rez files tomorrow night and I'll make a brand new album sequence. Once I have that, he'll send it to the mastering guy and on we go.

Ordered some orange chicken and honey barbecue spare ribs with a 50% off coupon from my good jernt. I haven't really liked anything else there besides the orange chicken, but since I was saving 50% I thought I'd give the appetizer spare ribs a try.
