There is a new weatherman on CBS 4 who looks a lot like Porky Pig....it might be more entertaining if he did the weather without his pants on like Porky.

Have we ever discussed why Donald Duck wears no pants when he's going out, but when he steps out of the shower, he wears a towel before answering the phone?

And he wears swim trunks when he goes swimming!

I hadn't noticed that!

Next year there may not be a Bash at all.

Then everyone can go to bed at 7:00.

Champagne, I find generally too sweet.

But I've never had a really good one. Perhaps they are drier.

For my parents' 40th wedding anniversary in 2004, I bought them a bottle of Dom Pérignon champagne at Costco.  My dad loved it, but no one else liked it because it was so dry.

I still have the bottle, the cork, and the box it came in:

I've even used it as a prop for a couple of shows that I was in!

I hear tell Times Square is dropping its balls twice tonight.

I fell asleep before midnight here.

I've only had the sandwich and two latkes and a couple of bites of pudding.

Mmm...I wonder if my pudding is cool enough yet.
