Since everyone is talking about the Rooftop Singers, I must tell you that their female member, Lynn Taylor, put out an LP of Arthur Schwartz songs in 1958 that is to die for.

Arthur Schwartz has long been a favorite of mine

DR John G. - how did you know I was making hot dog pie?

I’m psychic about some things. I next predict that Trump will do something embarrassing.

Susana has just turned into leftist propaganda! A character is vaccinating sheep! Call the thought patrol! Notify RFK Jr.! Save me!

Granted, it's much further up north than where I am, but it could still affect those of us lower in the state.

It’s where I live!

Is this new information for you?

The Cascades feature volcanoes that can erupt any time. That article didn’t have anything particularly new or definitive, but yeah, potential quakes all over the West is a known thing.

I figured as much.

Tonight it’s buńuelos with Buńuel. Watching the melodrama Susana.

Well, I didn’t like the ending of Susana. It made it about the family and not her. And the ending was happy, which didn’t make sense because of all the sins the characters committed and got away with.

But I liked the scene where the lady of the house beats Susana with a whip.

John G, a new Millstone is coming pretty soon - maybe even tomorrow or this weekend?

Jackpot vibes for DR GEORGE.

Well, I'm still at the casino having a soda, waiting for my mom to finish her playing.  I'll post details when I get home, but all I'll say now is that I was quite successful!! :D

Now watching a WWII short from Powell and Pressburger called The Volunteer. Ralph Richardson stars and narrates. I’m not ready to volunteer yet, but it is appropriately patriotic and the musical score is thrilling.

No wonder the music is so great. Allen Gray scored pre-Hollywood Billy Wilder and a handful of great Powell and Pressburger films.

I thought this corner cutting board was kind of a neat idea.

You can put a wastebasket under it to swipe up all of the debris.
