Well, you've read the notes, the notes had their nose to the grindstone, and now it is time for you to post until the nose to the grindstone cows come home.

I forgot to mention, after the horror show of the cramped hands, yesterday was a complete day and evening with not a single cramp. Isn' that weird?

Topic of the Day:  I've never made a big salad, but one that I remember enjoying was from the local Brewery City Pizza.  They used to have a "family" salad that was, I suppose, for the table to share.  One time, I had the whole thing all by myself.  It's all that I ate, so even as a family salad, it wasn't a lot of calories...quite filling, though.

I also frequently get a dinner sized Caesar salad, usually with chicken. :)

Oh, and last night, I ordered Stage Door Records' newest "Digitally Extracted Stereo" limited releases, the studio cast recording of Brigadoon, with Jack Cassidy and Shirley Jones, and Susan Johnson as Meg!

BK, did you get a chance to listen to the MP3s that I sent you?  Just curious what you thought of the sound quality.

Well, the Fat Orange Slug has now officially involved us in Venezuelan politics, and made life a bit more unsafe for all of us. Does it make you think he may be working with another country to destroy this one?

I slept rather well, but my body did not want to get up at 5:00. I finally got dressed around 5:45.

DR John G, I spoke to Hugh Martin several times in 1998, when I was working on The Boys from Syracuse for Encores! He had a great sense of humor, especially about himself and his own work, and I found him absolutely charming. I sorta feel the same way about the score for High Spirits. I think the music and lyrics are great - for reasons I'll never know, "If I Gave You" breaks my heart - and I would love to see Martin's original sketches; I would love to know what Harry Zimmerman brought to the arran gements in his orchestrations, which I think are really good. The wonderful overture for the show was written by Luther Henderson.

Starting on Jardiance this morning for the first time.  I hear it's a little pill with a big story to tell.

I'm on the lookout for the side effects in the commercial

Always fun to read the classic online spoof

STEPHEN SONDHEIM DISSECTS THE JARDIANCE JINGLE
https://www.mcsweeneys.net/articles/stephen-sondheim-dissects-the-jardiance-jingle

Over the years, in later versions of the commercial, the makers of the commercial have corrected this misplaced accent:
"Also, unless I’m mistaken, throughout the English-speaking world, it’s pronounced story, not stor-EEE."

Per today’s topic, I have thus far this year succeeded in NOT putting my nose to the grindstone, except on a few superficial things. Monday will be my real start day on a few more important things.

TOD: Big Ass Salad. Whatever I have in the fridge. I usually make my own dressing from whatever I have in the cupboard. Although if I have some ranch seasoning packets, I'll make that.
