I did manage to do some packing and tossing. Still LOTS to do! But every bit counts.

Good, and yes every bit counts.

I went outside to water plants and plant two irises. I had my mask on, but it didn’t help much.

John, was it a standard paper mask? I wore Breathe Healthy allergy masks all through Covid and found them to be both more comfortable and better-fitting than paper masks.

Escape-the-pollen vibes!

Regarding the topic of the day (not BK’s), aren’t you glad we have a PEACE president? Rather than a war-mongering idiot?

Sigh. I'm glad I missed the news last night before going to sleep.

I thought the gym was busy yesterday.  It was even more crowded today.  Both days I had to wear my KF94 mask.

I went to acupuncture yesterday, then slept 9 (!) hours last night! This is rare for me. I think the acupuncture helped.

Wow, it must have been wonderul.  Aside from the congestion do you feel better today?

Jane, the congestion came on this morning, fast and furious. I was clearly coming down with something. I feel a lot better now,but the congestion remains. But then I’m congested most of the time.

There is a couple in our building we are friends with.  They usually go to the gym at the same time as we do.  She surprised me when she got on the treadmill next to me and was also wearing a mask.  Once the guy on the other side of me got off I took my mask off, and since the person on the other side of her got off she also removed her mask.

Starting on Jardiance this morning for the first time.  I hear it's a little pill with a big story to tell.

I'm on the lookout for the side effects in the commercial
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7X9FKShTp6w

Didn’t you try this once before?

More vibes for no side effects.

I was prescribed it a few weeks ago at my doctors appointment Dec. 10, so I asked about it then.    I started taking it this morning.

Last night I called the little vegan Italian restaurant and asked if they ever make calzones, as it’s not on their menu. The answer was yes, for ourselves, but not for customers. She agreed to make me one. It was sooo good! I’ve never been a pizza lover, but I love calzones. Strange since it’s basically a pizza folded over.

That was nice of them to make you this special treat.  What did they fill it with?

I have never been a fan of Calzones, but then I don't enjoy eating my pizza folded over.

For those Luddies who have never seen it - Attack of the 50 Foot Woman will be on TCM tonight at 11 p.m. EST.

It probably won't get an intro at the time.....but it's a quick 68 minutes or so.

And starting now:

I like a good Thousand Island dressing on a salad.  I only have it as a special treat, and never at home.

At home now I only use olive oil and balsamic vinegar without any sugar added.

I made these the year of the Covid Christmas and delivered them to the doors of my family.

My salads at home are my dinner.  I use cabbage instead of lettuce, adding an assortment of vegetable, beans, and tofu, or hard boiled eggs.  I usually add toasted slivered almonds, and sometimes avacado.

Restaurants often list vegetarian and vegan options which is great.  The problem is most of these options don't include protein.  When we are traveling I look for cob salads with black beans.
