Got my new health insurance set to start Feb. 1. It’s the same company as the old insurance. But it’s a little less per month.

Nice!

We had a little rain this morning. Unexpected, but welcome.

Now when someone mentions being on hold - I think about Leonardo DiCaprio in OBAA when he can't remember the answer to a question when he is trying to get in contact with the terrorist organization he had been a member of......

He finally demands to speak to the manager and he is put on hold and music plays....his reactions are priceless.

Whoa, that sounds like fun. Now I really want to see it.

From DR Singdaw,

They are doing pretty well and are all independent now. But there are dependability/attendance issues. That seems to be the way with young folks nowadays.

I haven't been out unplanned in over 8 years.

I hope it is because you are simply smarter than they and not the future of the younger generation.

DR John,  I have been undecided if I want to read Wild Dark Shore by Charlotte McConaghy.  I look forward to hearing what you and your sister think of it.

I will mention this to Keith.  What about windy days?

In spite of wearing a mask at the airport and on the planes, I have picked up a virus somewhere. So I'm taking it easy today. It seems to be an old-fashioned cold.

Sorry.  I guess you picked it up when you weren't wearing a mask.

George, we’re both enjoying the book, which is a dystopian thriller.

I put a hold on it at my library.

I'm fine. It's just a cold. I hope I didn't expose anyone at church, though. I tried to be careful.

Hopefully a short cold and you feel better quikly.

I do wish we could get immunizations for the common cold.

That would be wonderful.

DR FREDDIE vibes that you get your first choices!

Yes, we got all the first choices.

even the Rao's frozen lasagna, which they seem to have so rarely, so I ordered three of them - and got all three.

Very good :)

One of my most favorite things about HHW is that i get to be friends with such wonderful folks that I otherwise would NEVER even be in contact with.

Beginning with MR BK.

Social Security did NOT arrive. Last month it arrived on the ninth. It all depends on where the tenth falls, I think. Hopefully tomorrow or there will be major hell toupee.

Mine has always arrived in my bank account on the second Wednesday of every month.  Mine has never depended on the date.

Mine's the third Wednesday, as I believe DR Elmore's is, regardless of the date. Never been a lapse (knock wood).

I always get mine on the 3rd of the month for some reason.

And the January payment will include your COL increase.
