DR George, the Gran Scene was really big in the late 19801s amd 90s. Their events always were sell-outs, and poI have a couple of their videos. Their leading lady, Ira Siff, is both a really informed opera maven and a fantastic singer. He used to show up on the Met radio broadcasts as a frequent panelist on the intermission opera quiz.

Very cool.  Thanks for the info, Larry.

DR ChasSmith, I haven't thought about that Rudolf Bing Gala in years.

Indeed. That was a few lifetimes ago.

Wait a minute. It was HALF A CENTURY ago.

Amazeballs!

Noel’s viciousness and that of his jaded literary friends is quite a treat.

I like direct deposit, too. In fact, most larger employers require it of their minions.

Ditto.  The library required direct deposit for paychecks and reimbursements.

I also like having automatic payments for bills, such as water, power, etc.

All my monthlies, except for my HOA dues, are auto payments, too.

Too bad Julie Haydon didn’t have more of a career. She was quite good as the innocent leading lady.
