Well, you've read the notes, the notes were very, very, very sleepy, and now it is time for you to post until the very, very, very sleepy cows come home.

Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

Topic of the Day:
Bad movie I liked:
At Long Last Love
Good movie I didn't like: way too many to think of one

This is a bit of a crazy week. Today I am bein g visited by a home healthcare assessor for another 2.5 hour interview. I do not look forward to it, but I hope this time I will be approved for home healthcare. The one advantage is that this time the interview is not a Zoom but a live interview.

Tomorrow I have a Zoom meeting about the new ballet, and Friday is the 2nd half of the assessment, on Zoom. My ballet colleague Doug is in town this week, and at some point he and his partner Richard will come to visit.

I hate to sy it, BK, but I want to read this pan you received. I'm sorry that the show got it, but I suspect, from the rave quote, there will be some good ones, and I'd like to read them all.

The two Broadway productions I saw and loved that got panned and closed immediately were
Rags
abd Isacc Bashevis Singer's
Tiebele and Her Demon.
On the other side, I cannot imagine why a god-awful piece of poorly-written shit like
Moulin Rouge
is still running.

I could hardly be more beat, following a weekend of sn*w management.
(I passed Sn*w Management 101, but only barely.)
Today should mostly be a day of rest ... AFTER I go out in a couple of hours to meet with someone about some Valentine's program music.

TOD:
Recalling the very dismissive first review in the Times of The Mary Tyler Moore Show.
https://www.nytimes.com/1970/09/21/archives/tv-review-tim-conway-presents-own-show-on-cbs.html
"... Mary Tyler Moore, appearing at 9:30 on Saturdays, is in much worse difficulties. She is caught in a ridiculous item with one set of bizarre happenings at a TV station's newsroom and another in her living accommodations.
At the station, the editor is a happy sot who hires Miss Moore as she walks in and the station's news anchor man cannot pronounce the word “Chicago.” At home, Miss Moore disposes of a dilatory suitor, gets rid of her wandering new boss and starts a running gag with the neighbors."

DR elmore3003, thanks for highlighting Britten's
Paul Bunyan
. Haven't listened to it in ages. Didn't realize until now that there is another commercial recording besides the Brunelle - from Richard Hickox on Chandos.

I'll have to think about the TOD.
Following up on another RODZINSKI post last night:
Sometimes if I am watching a movie I haven't seen.....I have to check the credits to see if I am looking at Hugh Marlowe OR Richard Carlson.
