Hey for those who watch LOST, apparently the show is supposed to go over tonight on ABC. I'm guessing it will probably just be a few minutes, but for those recording WATCH OUT!
Although interestingly enough, LOST airs on a Canadian station at the same time. And they usually show less commercials and end on time! So sometimes I will watch the ending twice!
I see two count them two dear readers who have literally been sitting there like so much fish for forty-five minutes, without a post between them. I think it might just be time for a bitch-slapping of the highest magnitude.
Now, how fast can we get to page three?
ROW, baby, ROW!
And the word of the day is: PRETERNATURAL!A preternaturalist would probably be a ghost nudist.
Well, that's a relief! I thought I was going to have to break in through the bathroom window to get in here today.Did you have a silver spoon with you for protection?
I couldn't post, either. . .so I PM'd several H&Ks, then, I went out and found out that I am now EMPLOYED AGAIN! I'll still be a server, hell, that's my career, but, now I will be at the new Pittsburgh Mills' Red Robin Restaurant, pushing gourmet burgers and endless steak fries AND getting health benefits, too!Congratulations td!
I'm a poor actor - I don't know from resorts.
The Bronx Zoo is my little haven of peace and quiet. And starting on Thanksgiving Day, I will be able to visit the Zoo for free any day of the year!
Actually I think it's Poog's Porch...named after a dog!True, but, Pogue's Porch has a nicer ring. ;D
Here's a resort that I've never been to, but if I had a significant other--or even someone I could just grab off the street who wouldn't put up much of a fight--I would go here (http://www.ladera.com/)!
Because he has just become a member of the Zoo! I know because I'm a member too.
Jason thanks for the tip on Chita. I'm going to skip Hedwig and Hedda that night and see Chita. I'm going Thursday December 1 at 8pm. Since they are E-Tix I won't know where I'm sitting until I get there.

Regis Philbin to host 'This Is Your Life'
Associated Press
Nov. 11, 2005 10:46 AM
NEW YORK - Regis Philbin is returning to primetime.
The "Live with Regis and Kelly" host will helm the new version of "This Is Your Life" for ABC. The series is a new version of the 1950s and '60s NBC original created and hosted by Ralph Edwards that each week surprised a guest with an often-emotional recounting of his or her life.
"My network needs me! I'm there," Philbin said in a statement. "`This Is Your Life' was always one of my favorite shows."
"This Is Your Life" - which ABC calls "the original reality show" - varied its subjects from celebrities to prominent business figures to regular folks. The format for the Philbin-hosted version hasn't yet been announced, nor has an air date.
Congrats to DR td on the new employment!
Does NERDS candy come in a box or a bag. If it comes in a box, I think I have seen it that way, can you get a bag of boxes? Was the NERDS candy left over from Halloween?
DR Jane - Does your new coat go with you new-ish earrings?
Vixmom, I agree about your use of resources and joining the zoo. You're far enough away from all of them (you get into the Bronx Zoo, the Central Park Zoo and the Children's Zoo in Central Park, the Zoo at Park Slope in Brooklyn, the Queens Zoo and the Brooklyn Aquarium) that it requires planning to go so the cost of a family membership could be used better elsewhere.
I live in my favorite vacation spot.
DR Ben: I think you have the right idea re. skipping "Hedwig." It's not one of my favorites, and I'm sure the crowd for that one will be quite...um..."interesting."
Save them for next year, DR VIXMOM....I imagine the Expiration Date is sometime in '07!
I couldn't post, either. . .so I PM'd several H&Ks, then, I went out and found out that I am now EMPLOYED AGAIN! I'll still be a server, hell, that's my career, but, now I will be at the new Pittsburgh Mills' Red Robin Restaurant, pushing gourmet burgers and endless steak fries AND getting health benefits, too!
Maybe, but relaxing it is not. ;D
I have indeed bitch-slapped myself from here to eternity and hell and back.At least George and I were able to send PMs. I thought I'd deleted the wrong cookies yesterday and somehow changed a setting!
I thought it was strange to see George and Tom just sitting there like so much fish for an hour, when they usually are among the first to comment on the new TOD.
You're skipping Hedwig?! I am sure you aren't talking about Harry Potters' dear owl?
BTW
How many of our esteemed HHWers plan to see HP this weekend?
Another passing in the entertainment industry. I remember hearing of Fifi Oscard when I first moved to the city 25 years ago. She was an agent in the business for a long time. Here is a Playbill On-Line obit:

Did you have a silver spoon with you for protection?Good line Vixmom.
That's FOUR
So, on Saturday afternoon I'm heading uptown to American Girl Place to purchase some accessories for her doll. She wants the pajama set for Kit or the accessories for the sweater set (apparently this is a hat, purse hanky and necklace).
Saturday night, 8:30, you must have missed my post on the great day I had Monday.
Good line Vixmom.
Says who? Says you!
I was on the site for two hours off and on waiting for it to be unlocked, but I finally gave up the ghost. Glad others came back and got some posting done.
I did enjoy some private messages with several hks, so we DID keep the home fries burning, just not on the forum!
I take that back. They mention that the show will feature a 55 piece orchestra recorded for use in case of a walkout.
Larry, just to check, your message didn't sound like he was supposed to call you back. He was at the gym when you called, I guess, fulfilling one of his birthday resolutions. Does he owe you a call? Not really!
dang I feel disloyal to Jose going to see a show with recorded music... I hope we don't have to cross any picket lines...
I won't be seeing Mr. Potter this weekend. I have much to do. Vixmom, I just found out that one of my nieces has an American Girl doll. She's got Kit. So, on Saturday afternoon I'm heading uptown to American Girl Place to purchase some accessories for her doll. She wants the pajama set for Kit or the accessories for the sweater set (apparently this is a hat, purse hanky and necklace).
Ginny, Flanigan’s Inns looks nice.
DR elmore - congratulations on winning the sparkling prize in this week's trivia contest!

At least George and I were able to send PMs. I thought I'd deleted the wrong cookies yesterday and somehow changed a setting!Blame Jose!! ;)
Maybe we could meet there sometime for a retreat ;D
I'm fairly certain that I'll be seeing it late night on Friday. . .

She's gay, you know!I suppose Jose is to blame for that, too.
I spent much of the afternoon with the new OKLAHOMA! package.

This is THE DVD disaster of the year, and I have every intention of letting Fox know my EXTREME disappointment. They should hang their heads in shame to release such a calamitous transfer as the definitive disc for this movie.
Congrats, td.
And thanks for the reassuring messages this morning that there was nothing wrong with my computer when I couldn't post.
And on another note, when each time Dad and I (whether alone or with Mum and other relatives) were in New York City, he would bitch and moan about a hamburger costing $3.95! I can just hear his voice bitching about a burger for $7.99!

Skip's been reading the birthday wishes and sends his thanks to everyone here.
Man, was the first season of Laverne and Shirley really this unfunny? I'm trying to find two little snippets, and I haven't come close - there is the odd moment but they play out for too long for a clip reel - I guess they found their sea legs in season two.
ONLY $7.99?? Here in Olympia, Red Robin burgers are $9.99!!Oh, DR George - I have a confession to make:

tonight will be our coldest yet with temperatures predicted at 19 degrees!
Oh, DR George - I have a confession to make:
I've been watching those *films* from Richard Anthony Films again! You know, those ones with OLYMPIA in the title! I'm getting to be an Olympiaphile!
Not art, but, you've got a lovely city with a lovely lake and it's a very photogenic town. . .
Off to do some cleaning now and then to watch some TV. Yes, LOST does run longer tonight, but like others, I will watch INVASION"live"tonight and record LAW & ORDER. Usually, I do it the other way around.
TD now that you have the possibility of two jobs is NYC on again??
Photogenic town...yea, that's the ticket. ;)Key word is PHOTOGENIC.

and now the Sound of Music.
I have a 2 questions
On the trailer for the rerelease was the voice over Malachi Throne?
On the comparisons section
The 2005 restoration vs 2005 video version. IMHO the video transfer looks better. The sky looks bluer than the film restoration. Shouldn't they be the same? WHy the difference?
