In honor of my restaurant choice tonight -

And the word of the day is: MALACOSTRACAN!

Put that in your pipe and smoke it!

I'm dancing the samba and mambo - or is it the mamba and the sambo?  I'm dancing something over her and it's quite enticingly enticing, what with my blondish mane.

MALACOSTRACAN!

Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

Less than 500 posts to our new plateau.  Put that in your pipe and smoke it.

I am dancing the Black Bottom.  And on the opposite side of black, the only time I remember seeing Behold A Pale Horse, I thought it was stultifying.  Maybe I was too young, too immature to appreciate it or maybe, in my childish innocence, I was right on the money.  I will look forward to your review to  see if I need to give it another shot.

1.  I don't have a sweet patootie, so I can't bet on it
2.  I don't smoke, so I must decline bk's request to put anything in my pipe and smoke it
3.  I do have quite a bit of fun as a blonde...and a natural one at that!  :D

You're balling the Jack?  How uncharacteristic.  I remember not caring for Behold a Pale Horse, but it's Zinneman, based on a novel of Emeric Pressburger, so I'm curious to see it again.

In my CD player at work:  Jeeves, the original 1975 London cast recording and By Jeeves, the 1996 Scarborough cast recording, by very kind courtesy of DR Matthew!  After that will be TimesTalks' "Celebrating Sondheim," a 71-minute live interview that I downloaded from iTunes because of a gift certificate given by very kind courtesy of DR JRand!  My, what generous people we have here at HHW. ;D After that will be the Dutch cast recording of Passion that I got from England yesterday!

In my CD Burner (waiting to be burned):  BK's radio interview and Sunset Boulevard with Petula Clark and Michael Ball for DR Matthew (as thanks for Jeeves and By Jeeves).  Actually, the reason that they're "waiting to be burned" is because I ran out of blank CDs! :o I'm sorry, Matthew. :-[ I won't be able to get any until this weekend, but I'll mail them first thing Monday.  So, in the mean time, does anyone else want either of these?  Danise, you love Michael Ball, don't you? ;)

Sweet potato is not a sweet patootie.  You can only put butter on one of those items.

Ever since I read today's title "YOU BET YOUR SWEET PATOOTIE," all I can think of is:

"Hot patootie, bless my soul,
I really love that rock and roll!
"

from "The Rocky Horror (Picture) Show."  Go figure. ::)

Last night Rodzinski mentioned BUGSY MALONE.  A longtime favorite of mine.  This was probably the single most-rented video in my house growing up.  I got my sister the Region 0 DVD from Hong Kong for Christmas, meaning I can probably swipe her old VHS copy now. :D

Of course, now I'm gonna have bits of Paul Williams' score running through my head the rest of the night!

I've never had a clew.  I hope that the mystery of the meaning of MALACOSTRACAN is solved soon.  Now, I must go to bed.  I'd like to get to sleep a little earlier than I did the last couple of days, and I also would like to get to work a little earlier than I have the last couple of days.  Either way, I'm still up too damn late!  Sooo, Goodnight, all!!
