You mean null and void during the emergency, not forever?  What if you have an emergency?

During the emergency only, DR JANE.  Emergency travel is allowed - but it damn well better be a REAL emergency....running out of ciggies does not count!  ;D

DR elmore, do you like the smell of moth balls?  I am allergic to them and doubt I could ever use the items again. ???

No, I'm not. That's why the bags are now in my storage space.  Moth balls kill mites, and most of my bedding is now packed away.

That's weird---it looks like his head has been photoshopped onto his shoulders.

I wonder how long will it take for Bernadette Peter's head to appear on the body of Michael Burns?

Wow!  That is wonderful.  In July we will have lived here 10 years.  Prior to this house the longest we lived anywhere was 5 1/2 years, in our Pennsylvania home.

The only down side to living in the same place for 20 years is that we haven't had the opportunities to purge stuff that you get when you move.  We've been better in the last few years about getting rid of stuff, but have a long way to go.

I was in my house for 28 years before we moved to the new one, so there was quite a bit of purging to do. And actually, I still need to do more!

How will you do that?

DR elmore, do you like the smell of moth balls?  I am allergic to them and doubt I could ever use the items again. ???

My former neighbor, Helen, used to put mothballs around her house to keep rabbits out of her garden. Anytime the wind was from the south I smelled moth balls.

And, when I first moved in, she brought me this pasta dish and it tasted like mothballs. I thought she was trying to poison me or something. I later learned that everything in her house smelled like mothballs too.

I just watched another episode of MURDER SHE WROTE over at Netflix.com.  This episode was entitled "The Big Show of 1965" and what a wonderful cast of guest stars..... Donald O'Connor, Anne Francis, Connie Stevens, Elaine Joyce, Gavin MacLeod, Donnie Most, Michael Cole, and Sheldon Leonard.  What a great episode!

Michael Burns does his MBarnum impersonation:

It was originally retouched using Lee Harvey Oswald's head.  That isn't really a towel, it is a Mannlicher-Carcano rifle.

...And now I'm just trying to figure out if I want to head back over to the other convention hotel for the traditional final night "pizza party".  Frankly, I'm feeling a bit worn out right now - the afternoon session just seemed to crawl by for me today - so, we'll see...

Well, I think I will go ahead and make and appearance at the party, so...  But I do plan to be back in plenty of time to catch Amy Adams on "SNL" tonight.

Laters...

For a nice lady, Jessica Fletcher was certainly bad luck.  When she was around, your odds of being murdered went up quite a lot, IIRC.

Watched another fun movie that was on my DVR...TAKE A GIANT STEP (1959)...JRand, I think you would like it...sort of an African-American THE RESTLESS YEARS...and although it was released by United Artists, everything about it reaked of Universal-International (particularly since it was filmed on the studio's back lot)...and the lead actor, Johnny Nash, was certainly the black John Saxon.

Oh, and Estelle Hemsley co-starred...some may recall her turn as the old, old, old, ancient lady in THE LEECH WOMAN...well, she is very old in this movie too, and she absolutely steals the movie!
