I am still waiting for the federal government to pay me for 6 different fee claims, some dating back to last November.  I hope I get them in time to write a check for my taxes.

I toyed with the idea of watching maybe PRIDE AND PREJUDICE on HD-DVD or CUJO on Blu-ray, but since I start on a TV box set series tomorrow to review, I thought I'd watch a couple more SUPERMAN episodes before putting it back on the shelf. Once I start these TV box sets, I won't fill up spare time with other TV box set episodes.

I was supposed to get MATLOCK to review (coming out on Tuesday), but Paramount sent me HAVE GUN WILL TRAVEL (Season 4, Volume 1) instead, so I guess I'll be working on it starting tomorrow. Since they're only half hour episodes and only half a season, I should be able to do them in two days.

Anyway, that'll be my work assignment and YOJIMBO will just have to wait until I finish these two TV box sets. I'll have to tackle MATT HUSTON at some point next week. However, GENTLEMEN BRONCOS is coming at some point next week from Fox, so that should break up the monotony of too many TV box sets in a row.

The first SUPERMAN episode I watched was "The Boy Who Hated Superman." The actor playing Frankie goes from tough to tender very quickly, but he's a good actor. I've always liked this episode.

And then we get a Jack Larson tour de force in "Semi-Private Eye," one of the show's most hilarious episodes, all due to Jack's fun Bogart impression and great comic business.

I skimmed through the first elimination show on IDOL. I have to say they didn't kick off the worst singers, especially the two guys. Looks like this show is going to be toast for me this season.

I saw a few sporadic free skates on NBC while I was waiting to start THE MENTALIST. Of course, these were lower ranked skaters, and much of the skating was mediocre or worse, but NBC was filling the time with very little of the lower ranked skaters and lots of other events.

Then I watched THE MENTALIST rerun, the infamous episode where a squad is wiped out by a Red John associate. Good episode. I wasn't surprised the first time around with the identity of the killer, so I was ready for it even more this time since I did remember who it was.

They have already announced that once they get to the medal contenders it will be without interruption.  That doesn't necessarily mean commercial free

Druxy would probably be interested to know that someone who auditioned today was one of our Hail On The Chief actors.

Well yes, there only a few pages to ponder....but we do have our annual Oscar Party looming large.

And we lost a DR who posted A LOT of entertaining posts that usually resulted in many comments - but we're working on it.

Hello, everyone.

I have little to report. I spent much of the day running errands. Surely you don't want to hear about THAT!

I do not like ANY recording of the musical of THE GOODBYE GIRL or the show itself.  I am happy it found an audience with some - but include me out.

Martin Short........disturbing to me.....so I haven't made it a point to watch or listen to much he is involved in.....I am usually sorry if I do.

No......working on getting our TOTALS up.  Getting DR SINGDAW back would be his prerogative, and I wouldn't presume.

Oh, sure, exactly as I would expect them to do. The ladies free skate is one of the marquis events of the games.

Well, I'm not a fan of drama and chaos and that's what this month has been.  Drama and chaos and then silence.  I think things will be calming down soon.  I can't wait.  Edith told me I'm a workaholic today.  Well she said it in a way that it was just assumed.  I suppose that's probably right, but i don't think of myself that way
