I doubt I needed to explain my ugly comment ;)

No need to explain. That house is awful.   Thanks, it was a great trip

It is mind boggling.  When we lived in Michigan there was an area I refused to live in as too many homes looked like parking garage complexes. ;D  I didn't care how charming the house was if I had to drive by those homes everyday to get to my neighborhood.

The steel roofed houses became a running joke on the trip.  At first everyone was teasing me, but then as the trip went on and we saw roof after roof after roof that had been installed by people who were either color blind or just had no taste, they started agreeing with me

I've driven about 800 miles since last Thursday. I'm really tired, but it was a really great trip.  I am glad to be home and see the girls again

We've been out for sandwiches and ice cream and are settled in for the night.  Tomorrow I'm meeting an AAUW friend at the big outlet mall nearby that houses the one and only Vera Bradley outlet store.

It's been another one of those work days. Glad for the money, but would love a day off. The computer program we're using is on a national server. And it crashes often. Too often to get much work done. So they have us doing busy work. Today, it was up and running no problem, well, except only two of us could use it at one time.

But the afternoon was nice. I raced from the office to a barbecue cookoff, which helped close out the wine festival that I'm helping with. Judged smoked chicken, ribs and brisket. Some excellent entries and some really, surprisingly lame entries. Last year, we couldn't stop eating the ribs. This year, with the exception of the winner, we really didn't want to taste much of them. Rubbery and tired. But there was plenty of wine, fun music and the great outdoors.

Just spoke to Bill - they may be releasing Joe in a day or 2 and they are planning to transfer Bill to a rehab for  few weeks to help him walk .  The Vixter's schedule today is such that I cannot make it to visiting hours

Healing vibes for them both.

I've been playing Kritzerland catch-up. "Cry for Us All" arrived Friday and I'm managed to find the time to listen to it twice. While some of it is dated (ditch the kids, please) and a few of the lyrics seem too obvious, there is really some gorgeous material on the album. Love the waltz and Helen Gallagher's number. And the singing is great. Need time to listen to it, rather than just play it in the background. Thanks for releasing it, BK.

I'm up and about to go to work.  Instead of Marcovicci Magic, for me it's Streisand Magic, as I must, must, must (that is three musts) get my review of the Village Vanguard concert up today.  Was it JohnG who was in the waiting line?  I paused at that moment to try to remember, but alas, I have been through too much the last few days and my brain is fried.
Another JohnG?

After four episodes of "FlashForward," I watched "Fringe" and "Desperate Housewives."  I'm now watching "Brothers & Sisters."
