DR CP does your theatre group have a website?  If you have a small donation category, I can pass it along.

I just received notice from Amazon.com that my order of the new recording of "Allegro" has shipped.

I'm really looking forward to listening to it.

Me, too.  But the Amazon notice just said "Rodgers and Hammerstein's ..."--it took me a minute to remember Rodgers and Hammerstein's what.

This evening at 7 PM there will be a hymn singing in the park across from the Church . Bring a blanket and come prepared to sin.

My friend Jeff, great nephew of Mr John Dillinger, just won a $400,000 settlement from the Hammond Indiana Museum - he asked them to remove signs that proclaimed John a vicious and unrepentant killer and cold blooded murderer.....

And the signs must be changed or removed.

Little by little, Facebook reveals itself to be an amazing thing.  People from my past are finding me...and linking me to other people from my past...and so on and so forth...it's astonishing, really.

So far I've only had one, and my reaction was, who is this? I looked her up in my senior yearbook and I still don't know who she is!

I only recognized about a 10th of the FB classmates. I was very shy in H.S. and looking at my yearbook I realize how few people I actually knew.

The sad thing about getting the classmates together is that you then find out who passed on. The first friend I had in H.S. was also a pianist so we bonded immediately.

He was also gay, and kind of an outcast among the jocks and rednecks I went to school with. I learned that he was no longer among us, and it makes me sad that I don't know how to contact his parents and tell them how much his friendship meant to me. It really was the only thing that made moving here tolerable.

Another person on the deceased list I had known quite well. He was in a band with my HS/college boyfriend, and I fixed him up with my roommate. They dated for several years, broke up and married other people. I was sad that he was gone and thought that if my former roommate knew, she would also be very sad.

I also connected via FB with my very first boyfriend in HS and his wife. We'd dated for almost 2 years before I broke up with him to date the aforementioned musician, but I became friends with his future wife while we were in college and was glad that they are still together after 30 years!

His wife didn't think that our friend David had actually died, so she tracked him down. It turned out he was very much alive, and married my college roommate 5 years ago. (Her 4th husband!) The deceased was someone of the same name but 2 years younger than us. So over the weekend I had a 2 hour phone conversation catching up with my old roommate who I'd lost touch with after she married and left Atlanta.

And I was able to send them a link of "Not Yet Dead", which they enjoyed.

The wonders of Facebook!

Good Afternoon!

Well, it's another beautiful afternoon here in NYC - to be followed by "1-3" of snow later tonight". In any case...

I need some "head-clearing", and I believe some Fresh Airing, Leg Stretching, and Art Viewing are the order the for the afternoon.

Laters...
