And as for Lestat...

When I got home, my e-mailbox was filled with FWDs from many a person with the various reviews of the show.  Some fun reading...

All I can really say is that I'm glad that my name is not on the marquee nor the poster...

;)

We shall see.

...Currently watching the rebroadcast of the Special Edition of "The Biggest Loser" on Bravo...

Just what I need to watch tonight... While a two-pound box of See's is sitting in front of me.

Of course, I keep thinking that one person that should probably a part of the program is the host, Caroline Rhea.

;)

-However, it does look she's lost some weight since the last season.

Well, since it is Bravo, it's bound to be on again sometime this week.  A couple of times.  -Or you could just stay up later tonight for the rebroadcast - or just set your VCR.

One sort of weird thing about going for a run this afternoon was that I was very hungry after I was done.  And I mean HUNGRY.  It caught me off guard.  I had brought an energy/protein bar with me for my post-run "meal", but about an hour later, I felt like I was starving.  Luckily and thankfully, our amazing Stage Manager, Sue, had made a run to Costco and picked up some food for the put-in rehearsal.  All good stuff: salad, cheese plates, fruit, hummus (with jalapenos!)... and croissants.  ;)

The salad was particularly good.  It was one of those Ready-Pak deals - Parisian.  It had a nice mix of lettuces, feta cheese, almonds, dried cranberries and a white balsamic vinaigrette.  Very good.  And just what I needed to satisfy my hunger pangs.

DRJoseS, did you get my mail?

Nope, no mail yet.  I've noticed some "late" postmarks on my incoming mail the past week.  I even had some forwarded mail from Richmond that had a sticker from December 27.  I guess the USPS is playing catch up after the holiday mailing rush.  Hopefully, tomorrow.

Back to "The Biggest Loser" for a sec...

I've only seen the finales, so some of this may have been explained early on...

Are the contestants forbidden from stepping on a scale at home, on their own?

And do the producers weigh the people a couple of times on the day of the final weigh-in before the "public" weigh-in to account for meals, sweat, etc.?  -And also just to insure it's a proper reading.

Just curious.

As for the Topic of the Day...

Grilled Cheese - American on Wonder; Cheddar on Rye; Provolone on Rye; Muenster on Wheat; Grilled Swiss with Ham on Rye.

Minestrone - Tomato soup is OK, but I'm not always in the mood for it.  Campbell's Chicken Noodle - I usually just eat the noodles and bits of chicken.  -Cuts down on the sodium intake!  ;D

Mac 'n' Cheese - Homemade is best, but I do have to admit that sometimes the box stuff hit the spot.  -It's been years since I've had that stuff out of the box, so my tastes may have changed by now.  ;)

Meatloaf, Mashed Potatoes, Peas - The perfect comfort food meal.

Ice Cream - Basically anything with chocolate and almonds in it.  Rocky Road rules!

Black Forest Cake - My father used to bring home "party leftovers" of Black Forest Cake.  He would get it from a now defunct European bakery in DC.  They would also make an amazing Red Velvet Cake too.

Biscuits, Pancakes - Ah, breakfast carbs!

Chocolate, Chocolate, Chocolate.

Thank You.

And Thank You.  It really was just a bunch of sad 'coincidences' yesterday.  And it was all unexpected too.  Mainly, it just got me thinking about things - which I wasn't expecting either.

Thanks for the e-hug.

I am home again and it irritates me.  I finally went to the dr this morning (I hate being sick and hate going to the doctor even more) she gave me some antibiotics, but we'll see if they work.  I did work all day yesterday and went in for a couple hours today, but once again I was told that I have sick leave for a reason, and I really should go home.
So now I will make one of my favorite comfort foods, chicken and noodles. I vary it every time depending on what I have in the house. But I do love it.

I liked your earlier post better-sorry.  Feel greatly improved vibes.

NOW THAT IS COMFORT FOOD. :D

And then drizzle that Häagen Dazs Coffee Ice Cream with hot fudge sauce, crushed Heath Bars and whipped cream...

:)

Or try it affogatto style - one scoop of HD Coffee Ice Cream "topped" with a shot of espresso and a dash of cinnamon.

:)

Jennifer thank you for the spoiler alert.  We, as usual, haven’t watched MEDIUM yet.

TPunk just the other day I almost purchased A MILLION LITTLE PIECES having heard so much about it.  I saw the headline today and was glad I had decided to wait.

Jose you are welcome.

Sometimes I top my coffee ice cream with Heath Toffee Pieces, or chocolate crunchies from Carvel’s in NY.

I think what bothers me about it is that he's saying all of these fictious criminal activities, arrests, incarcerations, and even deaths were emotional turning points in his downward spiral and then road to recovery.  And people are reading this and taking inspiriation from his "real life" experiences, and it's all bs.  I'm sure it is a really great book, but call it what it is, fiction.

I still have yet to read the details about "A Million Little Pieces"... However... I do have to wonder what Oprah's response will be.  She's the reason the book went through a second wave of popularity - the book first came out in 2003, and was an Oprah Book Club pick last year.  There's even message and support boards on her website.

*I'm also wondering if some of the investigating was triggered by the recently released sequel, "My Friend Leonard".

And I have to say, I'm digging using my balance/exercise ball as my computer chair.  Very comfy - and it "forces" me to sit up straight too.

My favorite clickable on their site was the "Instant Absolution from Sin."  What about "instant absolution from guilt"?  :) :)

Hmm, JMK, do you have something to feel guilty about?

Does she even know for sure that she is psychic?  I don't know that they've ever discussed it directly with her.

She knows she has special abilities. She used them to show off to the boy she has a crush on (predicting lottery ticket numbers or something like that). This happened near the end of last season if I remember correctly.
