I showed the kids the “I Want To Eat Your Face” segment tonight, and they enjoyed it again.

Well that saga and those vibes at least got us to page 8.

Glad to hear the party was a simple delight, Ron.

And of course, dear Iris!

And for ViXDAD.

Meanwhile, vibes for Jane’s tummy.

Sure enough I drove down on Friday, and the surly front desk people acted like I was a jerk, and said, “Who told you you could do this?” Generally gave me a hard time. But they did take my paperwork, and after 4 hours I got called in for my interview with a U.S. and Canadian border guard. I managed that, and now I’m approved, so that’s a big deal for us. Assuming my card comes in the mail in a few days.

BUT! A border guard here told me if I go down to the Nexus office when it opens in the morning, they let you wait around and nobody will tell you this, but eventually they call you in as a walk-in.

My replacement appointment was not till the end of August.

If anyone in the car doesn’t have the card, though, you can’t go through that lane. And you must understand, from about now through August, the Canadians descend on my weird little hamlet to stay in their summer cottages and whatnot. On a typical weekend we might have to wait in a line for an hour to get back to our home.
