And to get really ballsy, I will predict right here and now that if a HOWARD KATZ film does get made for either theatrical release or TV, the actor will get an Oscar or Emmy, or at least a Golden Globe, nomination for it.

Who the heck do I think I am predicting things, Jrand?  :)

Go with the feeling!!  ;D

DR Ben:

May I ask...how much ground beef are you preparing when you make that meat loaf?  And how many green beans (cup?  cup-and-a-half?)

Oy, I just had one of those calls from someone who wanted me to tell her how to get a grant to pay her bills.

My mother says, "Don't you spell that L-O-A-N?"

I say, "I spell it J-O-B."

But I can't say that to people who call the library, so I refer them to books by the guy on TV who wears the jacket with the question marks all over it.

LOST SPOILERS.

I really enjoyed last night's show. But i realized hurley was conning sawyer before the reveal. I found it interesting that juliet had the keys to the handcuffs the whole time. And that she will now be returning to camp. Also i wonder what will happen with locke (why did he go with them?)

I'm curious, every recent episode has had some big reveal at the end. I don't remember it always being this way. Has it?

For anyone who loves the show i recommend the http://www.televisionwithoutpity.com forums.  You can read the recaps. And go to the forums (general gabbery). Each week's show has their own chat.

Here is this week:

I never watch Lost, but happened to turn it on last night and burst out laughing. That is not Iowa. And you would never have to wait 2 days for a fan belt.  Clearly someone has quite the imagination

A grant to pay your bills?

I don't miss dealing with the public over the telephone....see DR RLP's story yesterday.

Here at my office, we are instructed always to say, "We are not an attorney and cannot offer legal advice" or "We are not tax advisors, you must consult your financial advisor or tax professional."

That doesn't stop people from seeking free advice, anyway...

What an excellent idea!  And now I'm even thinking a few strips of mozzarella with that topping of paste...and possibly some fresh basil...and WOW!  I'm gonna try it!

Oh, my, that sounds too good not to try.

Regarding the amount (I'm not the best at passing on recipes, I tend to forget little things like HOW MUCH GROUND BEEF!) since it's for two of us I use about a pound or a little more depending on the package. That makes enough for a couple of meals (unless we have seconds). I love green beans so I use about a cup and a half.

DR CILLA LIZ - one of my nephews - not one of the SMART ones - was in a group of people who were stopped by the police.

There was marijuana and a pipe in the car.  By the time the policeman wrote the report, no one had confessed to ownership of the goodies.

So everyone, even my nephew, a minor, was charged.  Now court dates have been set for them all individually.  Some of the perps have confessed to ownership of the contraband.  None of it was my nephew's, so at the hearing last week, he pleaded not guilty.

Is it imperative that he be represented by an attorney at the trial on April 23?

Yes. Just because someone says it's theirs doesn't mean that they won't get the others for possession. Possession doesn't mean ownership. There are SO many ramifications to a conviction for drug possession - you can't get student loans being a big one, that he should at least meet with a lawyer who can look at the case and give his advice.

JRand56, perhaps you will get American Life channel on your newfangled digital cable, the channel that shows 77 Sunset Strip and those other nifty WB shows....that channel that I used to get until Comcast removed the station from their lineup. Dang them!

That infommercial with the "experts" from the small business administration about getting "free money" from the U.S. government always makes me cringe. "If you don't have to pay it back it's free money!!!"

Yes, but the U.S. government is not set up as a foundation and they aren't going to give you grants to pay off your bills. Yes, you can get loans from the Small Business Administration but you do have to pay those back. They don't harp on that part quite as much.

I have still never watched American Idol. Wouldn't want to get hooked on yet another TV show. Besides I am busy watching culturally superious programs like .....Mr. Ed and The Munsters.

That's what I thought, too!  Thanks for the free advice!  When will I get my additional earned income credit?  8)

TOD: I made pig feet soup for Spanish class once. It had chorizo in it, which contains pig salivary glands.

DR LAURA,
You say you made it, but did you actually eat it, too?

Something tells me this is something that DR SANDRA would NOT put alongside her Cherry Cokes. (I wouldn't, either, frankly.)

Mr Ed is more entertaining than American Idol could ever be....to most of us.  My guess is we will never see Mae West or Zsa Zsa Gabor on American Idol.

I've certainly seen foodstuffs in restaurants that made ME bubble and squeak.

LOL.
