Rugs look great.

Mover arrives at 8 am tomorrow (fingers crossed).

Move out of the hotel and into the house on Monday.

DR Druxy next time we move I hope we too can stay in a hotel until the furniture is in the house.  Hmmm, maybe I should be careful what I wish for.  The next time we move I don't think we will purchase a new house until this one closes.

Vibes tomorrow!!!

Well, now it's time for me to leave work, get something to eat, then work concessions for Masterworks Choral Ensemble: Spring Time: Modern Style.

Quote
We all long to return to a simpler time, a more innocent age. So it was with John Rutter when he decided to compile a collection of his favorite folk songs from the British Isles. As he puts it, traditional songs form a “common musical currency.”

For Springtime, Masterworks performs Rutter’s collection, “The Sprig of Thyme,” alongside Jonathan Willcocks’ modern composition, “Lux Perpetua.” In “Lux Perpetua” the solemn threat and heavy tread of war is powerfully interspersed with tender prayers for peace. This timeless work calls us to reflect on the significance of peace and unity in our lives today.

I don't know how much of it I'll actually get to see.  When working concessions, we have to have things cleaned up before we can go in to watch.  And if there's an intermission, we have to leave before the end of the first part/act to set up for intermission.  Fortunately, this isn't a performance that I specifically asked to see, but I will be able to hear it from the lobby.

I would enjoy hearing the Masterworks summer Show Tune Concert in June.  George, is that also at the Washington Center?

It was overcast in Tacoma today, but it is supposed to be sunny and in the 70s tomorrow.  Naturally, I am scheduled to attend a matinee of ON GOLDEN POND.

I saw a guy at breakfast today that had my Buffalo Bill hair and beard, but he was bigger than two of me.

Ah, let me clarify, he was not having breakfast at my kitchen table.

Back from many errands, which did not include doing the audio layback - I am now officially irked.

Must get back to the movie - it's going to be impossible to get the CD in movie order because tracks were edited to other tracks or pulled apart - I am going to take one cue, which is almost six minutes long in the film and which are two separate tracks on the CD and I'll put those back together like they are in the film.

I have another movie I recentlyt received and haven't seen for about 40 years. That'll likely be first on tonight's roster. Haven't decided on a third movie yet. We'll see.

Let me know what you think after you've seen it.  ;)

After looking around a few thrift stores I headed over to the Indian restaurant on the north side. I was hitting on chatting with one of the Punjabi guys who works there and inquired as to whether he knew Hindi and/or Urdu as I had some vintage Bollywood movie booklets I wanted him to decipher for me (sort like coming over to see my etchings   8)  ).

Just as I had Vikram in the palm of my hand (figuratively speaking) in walked an older Indian woman. Vikram new her and a let me know that she would likely be a good one to have do the translating, and he offered to go and speak to her for me. She was meeting a group of friends for lunch so of course I didn't want to bother her.

Vikram insisted, telling me that she loves old Bollywood movies and she is a professor at the college.

Looks like I will be going to memsaab Kantal's house for dinner and translation later on this week.

Curses! Foiled again.

The long awaited power tool training (which to me implies hands on, showing how to use the tools) turned out to be more of a tour of the tool aisles and explaining what each tool does.  There was a lot of time for questions and I got some answers and tips that will help me finish my projects.

DR Ben just left, after two hours of the delectably naughty bawdy The Country Wife starring the young and beautiful and very funny Helen Mirren, and pecan pie, preceded by a loverly meal, wonderful visit, and lots of dish.

Dear God, please heal DR MBarnum's erotomania.

There were about 10 of us and it was nice to meet the other women who will be working on the build on May 9th.  Everyone was there to learn because they had their own projects going on as well as the Habitat build

I figured hands on training with the tools.  You should learn a lot when you work with Habitat.
