Shortly I'll be leaving for the Heim of Ana, a meal, and a run-through.

  2.  The original arranger of these charts who, while paid a goodly amount by two different men's choruses to write an evening's concert, never once considered the need for a piano rehearsal score that might fill out missing instruments

But was he contracted to provide such a score?

I ask becasue my government dealings often involved the government refusing to contract for what we deemed "necessary items"; so, often the company gave them just what they paid for.

I, in fact, caused a huge ruckus when I refused to bid a contract per government direction - I told the Big G, you don't buy what I think is essential to your sucess in using our product, I will not sell you the product!

My management's position was to go ahead and put in the lower bid and then when the government found themselves up the inevitable creek, put in a proitable change order.

My position was that such scenarios are what give Aerospace companies the reputation of always over-running contracts.

After much yelling and screaming on both sides, I won!
The ultimate result was that when I proposed it as necessary, the Government bought it; and when the government contracted with me, I never over ran!

That's interesting and noble, DR dB.  But sadly I suspect you were, in the long run, fighting a losing battle.  :(

The 210 looked great until one minute ago - now there are two accidents at really bad points where there is always slowing.  Not quite certain what to do - neither accident looks like it's slowing down anything - they're within five miles of each other.

DR JMK - or any DR that knows:

If a box of egg matzot is marked "kosher for Passover," can it be eaten by anyone, without restriction, or is that "cheating?"  Somewhere along the way I got the notion that egg matzot were really only for the children and the infirm [during Passover, anyway].

Egg matzos are fine unless you're ovointolerant.

My guess is they like it because it's dry and probably a bit warmer than outside.  The guy (who was great, really funny, which I appreciated) gave me a quote on attaching galvanized steel screen under the stepback which he said would take care of it, so we may bite the bullet and do that.

Makes sense, the odd part is why they are using the area as sacred ground for dying.

Good luck the steel screen solves the problem, might save you money in the long run.

I asked the guy what the weirdest job he had ever done was and he told me about a lady who called saying she had raccoons in her attic, but that when he arrived, she confided that she was convinced it was actually her ex-husband hiding up there trying to scare her.

Sad & funny at the same time.

Well the rat poison probably had something to do with that part, but I'm not completely sure.   ;D

Thanks all for the trial vibes. DR Jose, your speedy vibes must have been heard. We started at 8:00 AM and the trial flew by. We actually got the entire thing done and it went to the jury about 2 1/2 hours ago.   About 1/2 hour ago they sent out a note saying that they aren't even close but want to stay until they reach a verdict. So I'm camped out at my office with my client's wife and a friend of theirs.   Last I heard they hadn't ordered dinner...maybe I'll call and see if that's changed...

I think the only egg matzoh rule I learned in yeshivah is that the matzohs for use during the seders themselves should not be egg matzohs.

I'd really like to go home and feed the cats, but my client's wife and her friend would have no where to go and they don't have a cell phone, so I'll just hang out here.

That's kind of strange since there's an actual egg on the Seder plate.   ???

This from kashruth.com

http://www.kashrut.com/Passover/matzoh/

"Another type of Matzoh is called Egg Matzoh (matzah ashirah). It is produced from Passover Matzoh flour, but uses eggs or fruit juice instead of water. In theory such Matzoh cannot become Chometz, since it does not contain regular water. It does, however, pose to significant issues. First, although it may be permitted to be eaten, it may definitely not be used to fulfill the Mitzvah of eating Matzoh at the Seder, since it is not lechem oni (Bread of Affliction) and by nature cannot become Chometz. Second, the Remah rules that since contamination of the fruit juice with even a slight amount of water could cause the dough to become Chometz immediately, the custom is to refrain from eating such Matzoh on Pesach at all, except by children or the infirm."

ASK BK DAY

What was your favorite food as a child, that you would never consider eating now?

And what food did you hate as a child, but now eat on a regular basis?

The Lack of Public Discourse

That is the title of my new novel.

The Lack of Public Intercourse

That is the title of my new movie.

I'll skip the book and go straight for the movie.
