...As I start my last day of meds.... YIPPEEE!!!!Uh, dear DR Jose, just what kind of meds are these? Your adjective makes them sound like Viagra, not antibiotics!
And I better be F@#%ING BETTER on Monday when I go in for my follow up!
>:( :o >:( :o
...
SWW: pray tell, what is the Foot Network? I mean, I know these cable channels are niche-esque, but that's getting a bit ridiculous, don't you think? ::)Hey, don't knock it, they've got a great track record.
Still not feeling up to snuff. What does that MEAN? Up to snuff? To snuff is to kill - or there's that stuff you put in your nose (SNUFF, I mean, not the evil stuff). So, why would I want to feel up to either sort of snuff. I don't know, I just don't know.Is feeling "up to snuff" something to sneeze at, or not? THAT is the question!
Speaking of Charles Pierce, I got my DVD of TORCH SONG TRILOGY in the mail today. Probably won't get to it for awhile, but I understand Harvey's commentary is very revelatory and entertaining. Looking forward to seeing it in widescreen. The laserdisc was full frame, of course,I think I'd enjoy the commentary more than I did the film.
...Unless that's a metaphor, it waren't me because I didn't know how to stick shift until I was twenty-one.As a metaphor, it's a nice one, even if it does make you sound like a late bloomer.
Maybe it was Bruce Himmel that she dated.
Yes, Sophia thought she was playing Dulcinea at the time!Appreciative laugh from Colin!
MDEIA CHECK(I am trying BK):
DVD --
THE MUMMY RETURNS, not as good as the first one, but enjoyable. But dammit, if they are going to use Bendon in films, they must remember the first rule: NO SHIRT!
I've yet to listen to Bronislau Kaper's "The Swan" -- for the first time in stereo. But I've got it ready once I'm settled down from the euphoria that only Alex North can induce in quite a special way.
DR TCB! I just finished watching, well mostly listening, to MUMMY RETURNS! Well, I'll take Brendan shirtless, but, damn the script to hell and back! I lost a lot of interest in the film in theaters when Rick's *tattoo* was revealed and was quite frustrated at the screenwriter for even attempting to wedge that information into the script! Just when I had regained interest, Mr. Vosloo bathing in the Blue Nile, we got to a pyramid, someone conveniently died and then the horrendous CGI-creature supposing to be The Rock as The Scorpion King! Any way, the film sounds and looks great on dvd!
I think I'd enjoy the commentary more than I did the film.
That certainly was the WORST voice double they could have found for Lucille Ball.
Out of curiosity...how tall are you? The guy you're with looks REALLY tall...
OMG! -- Oh, mon dieu! in French!
Have you read the news? :o
The Walt Disney Company is blocking its Miramax division from distributing a new film with Julie Andrews that harshly criticizes Michael Eisner, executives at both Disney and Miramax said Tuesday.
I never knew I would live to see that!
Just terrible! ;)
Some friends and I went off to see Van Helsing at the theater this evening. It's not as wretched as the reviews would have you believe, but it's plenty mediocre. And surprisingly shoddy.
DR TCB: The FSM limited edition soundtrack to "The Swan" is from the 1956 film starring Grace Kelly, Alec Guinness and Louis Jourdan. It was Kelly's last film.
