I watched SIX more episodes of NUMB3RS tonight. I was so pleased to get one more done than I expected.

The stars of the show are good actors, but I really think the supporting players are very mediocre. And there isn't one ounce of chemistry between the men and their girl friends on the series. Of course,  Don (Rob Morrow) has broken up with his girl friend at the part of the season where I am, but I really find no sparks at all going on between these supposedly in love couples.

Lovely review from DR FJL.

Fun fun fun links from DR JANE.

So sorry to hear about your gnome, DR MBARNUM...he must not have been made for the Great Northwest.  Definitely not a Nome Gnome.

DR ELMORE - you are correct, IDAHO sounds like just my kind of show!  I can think of nothing that I would rather see than a twister ballet.

So far, Alton Brown has made three Feasting On... miniseries.  The first, Feasting on Asphalt was o.k., but petered out towards the end.  The second, Feasting on Asphalt: The River Run was better.  Feasting on Waves, his tour of the Caribbean and the foods to be found there, is by far the best of the three.  Wonderfully photographed, with Alton clearly having a ball meeting and cooking with the people he meets on his tour, it is heartfelt.  I'd quote his closing speech, but we weren't recording and it goes on for a couple of paragraphs.  Catch the episode later in the week, when it reruns, if you can.  I feel happy now.

DR TCB - Lottie in THE DARK AT THE TOP OF THE STAIRS said that all of the Catholics are keeping rifles and guns in the basements of their churches just waiting for the Pope  to give them the high sign to take over the U.S.

And of course as she was leaving, her brother-in-law told her:  "Be careful, don't let any Catholics get ya on the way home!"

Then I watched tonight's DESPERATE HOUSEWIVES about thirty minutes after it had started. I liked being five years in the future. Lynette's twins are very cute and exactly as I would have expected them to grow up. Neal McDonough makes THE most beautiful addition imaginable to Wisteria Lane, and I can't wait to find out his secret.

I feel kind of sorry for Gale Harold. There's no way they won't reunite Susan and Mike by the end of the season, and then he'll likely be searching for work again.

Lots of angst on the season premiere of BROTHERS & SISTERS, and obviously there is lots more to come.

If I had a criticism, it's that too many applecarts got upset at one time. There was enough conflict in this episode tonight to fuel storylines for the first half of the season IF THEY WERE SPREAD OUT. Coming all together like that seems like real overkill.

I never got around to MAD MEN, so now I'm two episodes behind. As long as they stay in the HD On Demand section of my cable channels, I'm OK. I can catch up later when the workload lessens a bit.

But I will look forward to catching up with TRUE BLOOD and DEXTER as soon as possible.

Even with the nap I took earlier, I'm still feeling worn out.  Hasta.  (Fortunately, tomorrow is a day off... unless I get called in.   ::))

First I took the Vixter and 2 of her friends to church, after celebrating the Eucharist and hearing the Gospel about obeying the word of the Lord we picked up the last friend and headed off watch a show celebrating drug users, whores, squatters, unfaithful lovers, dogkillers, uncivil restaurant patrons and people who DO NOT call their mothers while singing about living for today because tomorrow doesn't matter

Do I sound conflicted? Mixed messages much?

I still want to know how a guy with no job, who hasn't left his apartment for 7 months has such a killer haircut -

Happy Birthday to the sister of DR GEORGE.

My sister thanks you. :) We had a very nice barbecue.  The family came over to her house.  I got her the DVD to John Adams and a bird feeder from therainforestsite.com.  The specific kind that I got (back in May or June) is no longer available, otherwise I'd show a picture of it.  It's very nice, though.
