I'm already receiving emails selling Christmas gifts.   Never anything I can afford!

Not even a simple "throw"! (Thank you DR TCB)

It's the postage to Austria that's the problem!

When any of the rest of you get home from a vacation or trip; do you ever suffer from hotel flu?  Whenever I stay in a hotel or motel (well, more than a few hours) I always come home and feel like I am ill.  My head gets all stopped-up, and I feel all achy, but a day or two later I feel fine again.

Today is hotel flu day.

YES!

Thank you.  I tried explaining that to someone at work; and they looked at me as if I had lost my mind.

Took a nice long nap, looked at my e-mails and now shall do some bollywood movie watching.

First on my list: GUPT GYAN (2004) One of those Indian films with a "mature" label attached to it (although it is PG-13 at the most).

It is very low budget and I really don't know what my interest is in it  ;)

Oh my goodness!

As Mae West said, goodness had nothing to do with it.

Would you know what to do with that throw, if you received it?

It would probably end up in the closet with all the others!

Well, Toby and I are keeping warm enough.  It's about 64 in here, which is tolerable for me, and I have Toby snuggled in warm clothes and tucked into the front wrap, so he's getting the warmth from my body.
Two attempts to restart the furnace have failed.  Jed should be home to try soon.

and that's notr even counting all of you here on  HHW

the VIBES and prayers and IM's and emails are appreciated more than you know!

a friend said to me that "the waitng (for the results) is the worst part" - I fervently hope she is right!

DFIL is home now, and recovering from the biopsy.  DH Jed is planning to see him after work today.  I have a container of homemade tapioca pudding ready for Jed to take with him.  DFIL has dentures and can't eat much textured foods, but he loves pudding cups...so I thought homemade pudding would work.

I read somewhere that DR Elmore had enjoyed the wonderful "Cranford". Ms Dench was as always - so wonderful. What excellent casting throughout. The "extras" on the discs are also interesting. One of male leads (The estate manager) was in the UK version of "Life on Mars".

I watched SUPERNATURAL as I ate lunch. One of the lighter-hearted episodes which was enjoyable. I like the way the show mixes up tones from week to week.

did you find the butterfly valve?  It has to be kept open and the pilot re-lit,  before you can hit the reset button and restart the furnace

(well at least MY furnance)

What kind do you have?  Did you try "googling" it to see if you could find any tips?

Good to know that Jed's dad (not the cyber one) is home again.
And such a nice Thoroughly Modern Millie reference from DR Ann.

I watched the conclusion of the three episode arc featuring Luther Adler as a mob leader on HAWAII FIVE-O. Good story.

I'd think a calf's head would be much easier to prepare in a pressure cooker.

Well, can't say I didn't see that a-comin'!

Thanx, Kerry :P

Concerning pressure cookers - DH Richard and I received one as a wedding present, almost 28 years ago.  It's in the basement, never removed from its original packaging, because I'm afraid of it.

Good Evening!

Well... I ended up taking a good nap a little while ago.  And now I'm just trying to figure out what I want to do with the rest of my evening... if anything.  Even though, it's raining, I think I may just go for a walk around the 'hood to stretch my legs, and then I'll probably settle back in here tonight for some TV and laundry.  WOOHOO!  ;)

DR Ann - When I lived in Richmond, if the pilot light went out on the furnace, that was always considered a sort of emergency by the local gas company.  They would always send someone out immediately if we could not get it re-lit on our own.

If it makes you feel any better, our garage roof has sprung a teeny tiny leak that is driving me nuts.  I have "blackjacked" several places on the roof now and the leak just moves a little bit each time.

Ah, well. . .
Every day a little drip
On the rug and on the floor.
Every wind and every storm,
And you hardly feel a thing,
Brings a perfect little trickle

I was going to say that I hope that DR MBarnum enjoy's his Bollywood selection for this evening, but I sense that he's going to enjoy it regardless and in spite of itself.
