Sorry Dear Elmore, I had to laugh when I read that part.  We always said put their panties in a wad.  :D

I was rasied with "put their knickers in a twist".

I suspect you and Billie Jean share some genes (and I don't mean Levi's)!

Hi all!  I want to thank whoever sent me the post card on the BRAIN.

Good luck to every one in the cast and crew!  I wish I could be there to see it.

You're most welcome, DR Danise! I wish you were here with us all, too.

I am going birdwatching with a group early in the morning. I don't have anything else planned after that.

Just be glad Mr MacBeth was not named co-executer.

Macbeth is pissed because he isn't the executor, but it's clear my dad was no fool. He knew I'd treat his memory and estate with love and not humiliate him the way the Macbeths constantly did the last year of his life.  This elephant never forgets, and the Macbeths will pay.

With the lovely weather system that moved through town the last couple of days, the day was very very cool! Tomorrow I am taking DR Kerry for a walk, and I think it will be even cooler then.

Macbeth is pissed because he isn't the executor....

I don't know why anyone would want to be the executor of an estate.

For some reason, it sounds strange to hear Roger Corman and Disney in the same post.

They have done an entire series of Roger Corman DVD releases. I have Ron Howard's EAT MY DUST! upcoming.

It was a fun band rehearsal; we didn't get through everything, but we got up to the playoff of "All About Men," and I think we'll get through everything tomorrow. The players are wonderful and my ears are still adjusting to new musicians' different approaches to playing the hen scratches I gave them. I think I'm too used to hearing what's on the CD now, but it's fun revisiting and revising in rehearsal.  I look forward to the cast and band rumble tomorrow afternoon.

Of course it wouldn't be nearly so much fun if I didn't love the score so much.  Also, Juliana showed up tonight and it was fun to meet her after reading her blog here and watching her in the dreadful YOU'RE THE ONRE THAT I WANT tv show.

I had a very ecclectic selection of films/TV shows that I watched tonight.

I began with THE LADY IN THE WATER which I recorded off HBO-HD at some point this weekend. Actually, there was some promise in the set-up for the film, and I was looking forward to a lovely fantasy, but somewhere along the way, the plotting got muddled, and I got kind of irritated with the film.

The film did make me jump a couple of times with its frights, but when in-ground lawn sprinklers are used to make one of the "gotcha moments," well, that's not top notch writing.

Next, I watched last Friday's MONK episode. It was a pretty clever mystery this week, and I enjoyed that aspect of it. I didn't enjoy AT ALL the grifter being able to lure in Monk so easily. I can't believe people fall for this kind of stuff.

I don't know why anyone would want to be the executor of an estate.

I didn't want to be the executor,  I told my parents 30 years ago to give the position to Macbeth,  Last November after Macbeth and Lady M pulled all of their crap, I learned that my dad had never changed the will.  Given that Macbeth told my dad and me last July that I deserved to inherit nothing, I was quite happy about the news. I don't like the job, but I'm happier to be on the end I am rather than at the mercy of a brother who doesn't wish me to have anything.

Today I called my attorney about redoing my will and removing the Macbeths from inheriting anything.

Good thinking, Elmore. They say to leave a very minimal amount so that it is obvious that you didn't forget them. That way they will have no luck in contesting the will because you forgot them.

To conclude my evening, I watched three episodes in the first set of POWER RANGER DVDs. I'm sure kids 10 and younger love this stuff, kind of an Indiana Jones/Transformers sort of combo action series for them. They're searching for jewels that will make this ancient golden crown regain its power. Naturally, there are two warring giants who also want the crown and its jewels for themselves.

Luckily for me, the first episode introduced the Rangers to me because I knew nothing whatsoever about them.

There are three more 30 minute episodes in this set, and then another set with six or seven more episodes in it.

Sorry I was catching up. Callie is getting better, slowly but surely.  She is still weak, but is coming along.  The vet thinks it may take a week or so before she's back to normal

I had a very long day at work.  I had to go to Sioux Falls to visit a guy in jail and then came back to town about 4 1/2 hours later and checked on the cats. Then back to the office for an appointment and an "all hell breaking loose" semi -emergency situation.  I got everything done, which is the good news

The bad news is ... I hired and interpreter when I should have hired a secretary and now I have to deal with it.
