DR Ben the story of your anniversary surprise brought tears to my eyes.  It is a beautiful story :)

It made me teary too. And that was even after he had explained what he was going to do last week.

Jennifer - I asked him to close the dispute and told him it was bad form to have opened it - I also assured him that we have great customer service and that if, for some reason, his CD doesn't arrive, that we would send out a replacement immediately.

I agree that it was bad form for him to have opened it. But since he already did ...

Well glad it worked out okay for you. Although you still had to deal with the frustration.

I told my niece that I would go biking with her today. It's the first time we've biked together. Because we don't have our bikes at the same place.  So i biked the 30minutes to her house. ANd she was in heaven. She loved it. So it was worth it. Plus it wasn't much exercise biking with her. So it was okay that it took me 30 minutes each way with her.

So, if I were lying on Ducky's table in the NCIS morgue, he now could identify me through the serial number on the device that was inserted into my artery on Wednesday.  And I have an ID card to prove it.

Edi your father must have been hurt by that. :(

Enjoy your unemployment and vibes it doesn't last long!!

They probably told him that I was "too busy", and he would believe whatever they say so I'm sure it didn't bother him.

I am kind of enjoying unemployment but am wondering if I'll ever work at Turner again. They are converting all the AVID rooms (my editing system) to Final Cut, which is a tough transition and not a good system for long-form projects, so I'm not anxious to get up to speed right now just to abandon it when I start the next film in late fall. I may just try to use my time off constructively.

I have done things like go to the dentist, had my first physical (all cholesterol #s are in a good range and the electrode hooky up thing said everything looked good. I've been getting lots of exercise, walking 10-15 miles a week, eating very healthily and have lost 11 lbs in the past 2 months, so I'm hoping I'm establishing good habits that will last when I get busy and stressout out again.

And now I can tackle my taxes!

You are enjoying unemployment more than I expected you too :)

I guess I'm glad your father wasn't as hurt as you were.

Do you need the ID card for airports, etc?

Well, I was told to carry the card at all times, but that it wouldn't set off the airport alarms.  I'm not supposed to have an MRI for a year - magnets, you know.

Sunday afternoon greetings from HOME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Dr. Jain (as opposed to DR Jane), woke me up at 10:50pm last night to say he'd be back this morning, probably to release me.  He was wearing scrubs, so must have gotten involved in something pretty complicated during the day yesterday.  He arrived a little after 9am and Richard and I were on the way home by 11:30.  We dropped 4 new prescriptions off at the pharmacy and came home to have lunch just as Rob and Mary Linda were finishing their breakfast.  We're now all just relaxing before ML starts her trip back to MI.

This brought a huge smiel to my face!!!  The Vixter sends her love!!

A bunch of Long Island Lutherans prayed for your speedy recovery and homecoming today at 9 AM EST - glad to see they teh prayers so quickly answered!!!

DR Edi will there be any more showings of JEWS AND BASEBALL in Israel?  A friend was out of the country & missed it.  She wants to see it.  She grew up in the States.  We were good friends in elementary school until she moved away to Palm Springs in 5th grade.  Back then that seemed far away and I didn't see her again for about 40 years.  We had an amazing reunion.

Interesting.  I suggest keeping a copy or two, one in the car & one at home.

Yes, DR Vixmom, you have to find the things to laugh about in these crisis situations or they'll consume you.  I'm sure you had your moments, too.  When I called Genevieve, the girl who took my job at the library when I retired and was presiding over the meeting at which this happened, she said, "You don't even sound upset."  I explained to her that I didn't think that would help and I truly believe in the healing powers of a positive attitude.

And thanks for the prayers!

Thanks Vixmom.  They asked if I was going to take my parent to their house this fall. I told them I didn't think so. I've got too much going on.  I don't mind driving them from time to time,. but if I can swing any vacation this fall, it's going to be to NYC for the possible Octiber get together
