Who will be staying at the house?  Domino?  Or the construction worker?
Domino, you silly boy!  (Mike, the construction worker, isn't my type or der B's.   ::))

Well, no has offered me any advice on my Elvis Soundtrack albums so I've been playing them.  There's only about a half a dozen of them but eighty or ninety percent of them, the songs are utter crap (almost all except for the hit or two that was usually culled from them for single release).  Still I waver between, "Oh, you haven't played them in thirty years, why do want to keep them?" to getting sentimentally attached to them.  I'm currently sloging through Fun In Alcapulco and as negligible as the songs are I find myself tapping my toe out of some Pavlovian nostalgic reaction.  Tell me I'm crazy and get rid of them.  But first tell me if they're worth anything?  Some of the album jackets have seen better days but the albums are remarkably clean.

The ones I've come across are:

Roustabout
Fun In Alcapulco
Girl Happy
It Happened At The World's Fair
Girls!  Girls!  Girls!
Kissin' Cousins!

I think I might have one or two more lurking somewhere.  Just so no one thinks I'm crazy, many of these I bought second-hand for a buck.

TPunk's new do certainly looks attractive in the photographs.  Back from dinner at Hugo's with Miss Tammy Minoff and our producer, Missy Becker.

Pogue: Take the stuff you think might be rare to Amoeba, and let them KNOW you think it's rare - if you don't they'll just give you a buck without even checking.

Not exactly a popular confectionary here Vixmom. We probably import it from the USA and export it back with a new brand!! LOL.

Ah, but the question is:  Is any of it rare?  A discovery!  Blue Hawaii was in the Girl Happy sleeve.  I have no sleeve for Blue H. nor any record for G.H.  I think my younger brother, eons ago, must have put them in the wrong sleeves years when I was in college...which tells you how long it's been since I played them

Elvis Presley records would be worth about 10c here.  Only the covers are collectable - if in near mint condition!!
EP's by Presley were issued with slightly different covers worldwide and can be collectable.  Eg "Old Shep". I doubt if anything issued after 1960 is collectable.

We had a brief respite from the rain, but it's back again now and expected to continue through much of tomorrow.

Most of today the rain has not cooled things off but rather just made things feel muggy and yucky. But now, after 11 p.m., I can honestly feel a crispness in the air. I may not be able to take my walk topmorrow morning if it's still raining, but hopefully Saturday will be cooler and dry enough to take a stroll.

ALIAS tonight, well, I found it totally forgettable. Even the wonderful Marshall only had a second of mirth about him.

Garner going on that mission was one of the more ludicrous things I've seen on TV in quite some time. And I see the new girl joining the fray next week is going to be a "bad girl."

Ho-hum.

Who wants to bet that's Vaughn in the chamber? Or is that what they want us to think? Nah, it's Vaughn.

CSI had an unusual episode: the entire team working on a single investigation. I haven't seen that in a long, long time.

And I rather liked it. I did notice that the new CSI who was on the season premiere (seemingly added as a potential romantic interest for Grissom) was nowhere to be seen and not mentioned either.

WITHOUT A TRACE concerned a very bright teenager coping with school bullies and bashing. These shows make school look like a war zone now. A scene in the cafeteria with students lobbing food, spit balls, trash, etc. with no adult supervision at all was astonishing to me.

If that truly is the way things are now, I'm glad I'm retired.
