Der Brucer, what is it that we should be culling--the nifty suit, hat, and gloves, or the sweats?

Your closet, your choice :)

"Creamgirls: - cream puffs

"Prada" Devil's Food Cake

"The Good German" chocolate cake

"No Time For Nuts" on a bowl of M&Ms

"Poseidon" upside down cake

"Last King of Scotland": MacIncheese

"Little Miss Sunshine" and cheese (Sunshine crackers)

"An Inconvenient Truth" - "1200 calories each" label on a plate of chocolate brownies

Not very good, but might stimulate some others

Maybe you could bend the rules slightly.  You could make Prune Bars and call them, "I'm Telling You I'm Not Going" Bars.

HOO and RAY - and The Dog also!

Quote
GOVERNMENT CAMP, Ore.  —

Rescuers have found the stranded Mount Hood climbers and are bringing them down the mountain, FOXNews.com confirmed Monday.

All of the climbers — two women and one man — were reported to be in good condition.

"I spoke to the mother of one of the climbers up there in the mountain … when I told her that, she expressed 'thank god' … that about summed it up," said spokesman Jim Strovink of the Clackamas County Sheriff’s Office. "We’re glad we did it and it’s successful and congratulations to all."

Gubele, coordinating communications for the rescue operation, said in a cable news interview that the three were found huddling with their dog Velvet. They had sleeping bags and mats, he said, and were under some rocks, huddled up trying to keep warm.

Who sings that in the movie?

Judy Garland. It was Oscar-nomined but lost to NEVER ON SUNDAY's title tune.

Well, Bruce is a pretty amazing guy '>.<'
I don't think his tv is THAT old though......

Either you misread what I wrote, or I stated it poorly (more than likely the latter).

The point I was making is that these projection TVs today are made so that the average joe (bk, me, or anyone else) can change the lamps easily.

The old TVs of yesteryear were not user friendly and needed a serviceman if anyone intended to tinker around inside them.

I swam backstroke and freestyle for year for my town's swim team. Unfortunately for me, there were several talented people my own age who swam all of the various strokes well, so I was always competing out of my age group.

When I was 15, I finished third in the state of SC in the backstroke swimming in the 17 and over category. That's the only accomplishment I ever had in a sporting event. But I came from a family of sports champions. My dad, mom, and brother all earned trophies and prizes in various sports.

DH and I have been invited to a client's Oscar party. It includes an Oscar themed dish contest ---an award for most delicious and most creative name.

Restricted to just this year's nominees or not?

I began the afternoon watching last night's CROSSING JORDAN. Two unusual cases: one the death of a little person and the second involved a street kid who was dealing drugs.

I enjoyed the show pretty much, but neither case got the development it needed to make the stories truly gripping. Also, there was too much personal stuff swirling around all of the regulars.

Next came another hilarious episode of EXTRAS with Andy fairly forced into visting a child with cancer in the hospital and possibly missing the chance to meet his idol Robert De Niro because of this commitment.

Savagely funny as always but also rather sweet as a wrap-up to the series.

Next came last Thursday night's SCRUBS as J.D. dealt with a condition that was causing him to faint due to stress. The sequences with the janitor was, as always, the highlights of the show ending in a simply hilarious encounter with a wolf.

I did watch the main title sequence of PEPE before I shut everything off. It does look just fine, and it was in surround stereo on my system, so the Darin song/rumble sequence should be terrific when I finally get to it.

Glad to read that I didn't misreport that TCM was featuring the short version of the film.

Ooooh... I don't know. I am just laughing out loud at all these! I guess I would get extra points if it was this year. I'll have to ask the partygivers.

TOD - I used to be into Hot Air Ballooning. I crewed for 2 different balloons and was working on my Balloon pilot's license when I was in college. Then the people I knew with a balloon moves away and I graduated so no access to balloons :(

How cool!  We went once over the hills of Virginia.  It was beautiful & I, surprisingly, I didn’t get airsick or dizzy from being up so high.
