Your Horse Is My Mother
I was wearing a jacket that had a belt-thing around the waist. Kayla got a hold of it and pretended it was reins and led me around the playground like I was a horse. Meanwhile, Gracie was playing some kind of make-believe game. I think she was a princess or something. She does this a lot and she always wants me to play with her and make believe I'm her mother. I couldn't really do that because Kayla was leading me all over the playground and calling me a horse. But she would catch up with us every once in a while, call me "mother," and then take off again. By this time, a couple of the four-year-old boys were helping Kayla lead me around, which was fine as long as they all went in the same direction. They led me to the fence and Kayla said, "Let's tie her up!" Her grandpa has horses, so she knows all about tying them up.
So she and one of the boys (I think it was Benaiah) "tied" me to the fence. Luckily, they're three and four years old and have no idea how to tie a knot. Nathan saw what they were doing and grabbed one of my "reins" away from them in an attempt to rescue me. They fought over me for a while. Then Gracie came back and got all upset. She screamed at them, "Your horse is my mother! Your horse is my mother!" And she got involved in trying to wrestle the reins away from Kayla, Benaiah, and Nathan. As I recall, we all ended up in a heap.
It was exhilarating.
