Mikey, yesterday afternoon they did a segment on water polo and its coverage over the years,  Apparently back in the 50s, the Soviet team took on a team from one of the countries they had recently invaded.  it was apparently one of the bloodiest and most violent matches ever covered in the Olympics.

They did say that those skimpy little bathing suits are often either used for a wedgie, or are completely torn off by the opposing team.  Hmmm!
Oh, the images that you conjure, TCB.

LOL!
And, oh, the images you post, too.

Thanks, everyone. I'm going back to bed.

DR Ben, feel better!

The repair service called about the AC. They'll be here on Friday.

Hardly a moment too soon.  Friday and Saturday, at least, are forecast to be 90 or above.

I suspect they will remove the air conditioner, take it away, and I'll see them next year.

I feel it is my duty to report that I have had the best Turkey and Avocado sandwich from Subway that I have ever eaten.

Having seen so many commercials for them, I've been wondering how their avocado sandwiches are.  Not that I get to Subway very often.  In fact, I rarely do, a habit from the many years before they expanded from their old original menu items which I used to find pretty boring, or at least no better than average when compared with other subs or hoagies or grinders or [insert your regional name for them here].

You mst remember, Chas, that being trapped at home with no easy access to Subway, McDonald's, Jack-in-the-Box, etc; has casued me to appreciate it when I get it.  Still, this sandwich was pretty damn good, with lots and lots of avocado.

Just learned that my book is now on sale at the San Antonio Costcos. Haven't seen it on the shelf anywhere, but that sounds so cool.

That is great news, John.

BK Question

Does Capitol still own Funny Girl or does Mrs. Brolin? If Capitol does would you consider releasing it in Kritzerland?

I have a cold and I decided to stay home from work. I'll probably go in tomorrow. I knew it was happening yesterday and by last night I had a full-fledged cold with a stuffy nose and a cough.

I've been up and down since this morning. Anthony is at the post office. When he comes home we will have lunch.

Feel better by tomorrow!!!

And...

I feel it is my duty to report that the reason I did not post last night was because the bartender at Landmarc served me quite a potent Manhattan. -properly made with rye (Michter's)

Weird doings here today. They've closed the airport down due to a bomb threat and from what I can understand, they made the waiting passengers stand on the 99-degree tarmac for two hours while did their sweep. You know, if they got that far in the process, most of them had their bottles of water taken from them, so they were out there wilting away.

I left early this morning to meet up with my hiking group.  After the hike we went out for coffee, or hot chocolate in my case, and then I had multiple errands to do before coming home.

One of my errands was to the post office.  I was surprised to find the parking lot totally empty.  Only one person was inside finishing up at the counter.  When I left it was busy again.

No idea. No reporters can get in. Just some tweets and stuff getting out.

As soon as I can transfer my laundry to the dryer I need to dry my wet hair.  Then I have dishes to wash.  I would rather take a nap.  I think I'll pass on the second load of laundry.

That would account for those underwater shots I have seen posted all over the internet lately.

I feel it is my duty to report that I watched two of the Marilyn films last night:  "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" and "How to Marry A Millionaire".  Both were gorgeous.  Are they perfect?  No, but they are so gorgeous throughout that you simply will not care.  Have never seen either of these films look so...so....well...GAWJUS.

It has been too long since I have seen "Gentlemen Prefer Blondes" that I don't have a good image of the movie.  I always find Marilyn delightful in "How to Marry A Millionaire".
