I love these little bite-sized Big Hunks - only fifty calories each and very satisfying if you have two or three of them - also only one gram of fat.

DR Jane - Linking from Photobucket it quite easy since Photobucket automatically copies the [IMG] link when you click on it, so that all you have to do if "paste" it into your post.

An added plus - Photobucket lets you upload mulitple pictures in a simple step. I can transfer all my critter photos to my Kodak Picture Software where I can crop and downsize the photos before uploading the group to Photobucket.

Well, you can also crop your photos in Photobucket too.  -And it automatically downsizes large files too.

I'm really trying to watch Iron Man, but this thing is not to my liking at all.  After all the incredible reviews I read about this thing, to be confronted with the reality of just another now movie is very disappointing.  In fact, I'm finding it excruciating to sit through.

Ok, I have a question for the computer geeks among us.  I'm looking at a MSI Wind, one of those mini notebooks.  My question is, since it doesn't have a cd or dvd drive, how do you install software?

Well remember if you serve it as well, you can wear a white dinner jacket even though it is October.

It is still warm enough here to warrant the air conditioner, so you could wear a white dinner jacket in Phoenix for most of the year.

It's just an "entertainment" - not a cultural event.

Good "now" movies are what us ticket buyers want on a Friday night.

I saw IRON MAN in the theater, truth be told, I liked Adam Sandler's ZOHAN movie more. (That's what makes horse racing).
I watched CASINO ROYALE up to Orson Welles' appearance and will finish it up tomorrow morning.
Time for Nyquil and the latest Repairman Jack novel:  BY THE SWORD.

Yes, DR MATTH - you are correct.

Your feelings about NCIS and THE MENTALIST tonight were mine as well.  I am beginning to sort out the supporting characters on THE MENTALIST and like them a lot.  Just as I like NCIS mostly for the cast....I think TM is the same.   And I got them in HD!

Then I switched to ELI STONE and what a terrific episode.  Everyone looks so nice all dressed up, and it's a treat to see the subtle patterns in the men's shirts and ties....  Men wearing suits and ladies in dresses.....hair combed...nice makeup.  I love seeing people dressed up.

So Katie or NO, I think I will be a regular viewer of Mr ELI STONE.

From what had gone before it was clear that this was to be .... no....PICNIC!

It comes with MS Office installed.

You can either download programs from the net or "image" them from another PC via an intercomputer link.

MR BK are you familiar with Elmer Bernstein's score for a movie called Where's Jack?  Title tune with lyrics by Don Black.  One of my favorite Bernstein scores from the 60's.

I have listened to the new KRITZERLAND release of Mr Bernstein's score for the stage play LAURETTE and the cues for the motion picture PRINCE JACK.

If you are interested in this type of music and you don't own this CD - that's unfortunate.

The booklet is informative as well.

My favorite tracks:  Laurette Overture and The Waltz....so beautiful.  But my favorite track on the ENTIRE CD has to be the Main Title for PRINCE JACK.

As MR BK says in the booklet - it is prime Bernstein.  I have never seen the movie, hadn't even heard of it before now....but the music is terrific, and I am glad to own this CD.

If it has a USB port, can't you use an external drive for installation?

You will need a USB-enabled portable hard-drive or DVD-drive.  However, most of those sub-notebooks come with basic software onboard, and that's what you're supposed to use.  They're marketed as an "accessory" and not a "main" portable computer.  Additionally, since they're WiFi enabled, you can install software via download.

-Oh, if this makes sense:  It's basically like the Mac Airbook.

*And a lot of MS Wind users/buyers have found a way to go ahead and install the Max OS X on them too.  Just check the online forums.

Are you sure about Office?  I know it comes with XP but I haven't seen anywhere mention Office is installed.  It would be perfect for traveling and carrying around.  My laptop is doing fine right now, but it's heavy and the case is starting to separate around the screen so I don't want to be moving it about too much.

Didja ever think 10 years ago that you would be carrying a computer around with you?

Yes. With a current rebate on Amazon I can get one for $399. It only has the 3 cell battery, but with the rebate and discount it's a lot less than the 6 cell battery, so if I really need the extra battery life, I can upgrade cheaper than buying the better battery now...at least I think so, I better check those prices.   I'd just like Word or Wordperfect so I can work on a file if I really need to

No, and I didn't think I'd have a phone that can surf the internet and I'm still looking for a computer to carry around, lol

Actually, I've had laptops since the mid 90s.  I had a Gateway that weighed about 2-3 pounds, but it had lots of design flaws and I had problems with it.  I still have it but it routinely crashes so it's not really worth trying to use

I guess I wished I found it entertaining.  When he finally gets the suit on and starts flying I perked up a little - that happens seventy minutes into the movie.  And I'm just so sick and tired of every villain in these films being a terrorist.

I like Where's Jack - it's owned by Universal Music Group, I think.  Glad you like Laurette/Prince Jack.  I don't really know why it's of such limited appeal to those here, but that's the way it is.

You might enjoy films like this more if you went with some kids! Their obvious enjoyment is contagious.

Thanks Der B.  The one I'm looking at has a bigger hard drive than the one in the review, but I imagine it would still have the same trial ware.  I'm pretty convinced.  I'll see how I feel tomorrow.
