Suggestion on our news here that "they" reportedly want to charge the guy in the car in Phoenix with contributing to the death of the Chopper people!

The law is an ass.
The press is a bigger one!

But if the police hadn't chased him there would be no reason to have the choppers in the air.  Unless he had committed some very major felony, there is no justification for a high speed chase.

Good Evening!

Back from seeing "Hairspray" for the second time, and I have to say that it held up very well.  I think I liked it more this time round, in fact.

So... Has any other DR who has seen the movie laughed out loud at the brief tribute/reference to Little Shop of Horrors?  Well, I took it that way.  And laughed.  :)

Hmmm I have too many movies to see this weekend. Maybe I'll go to the 9:35 showing of Hairspray

DR Cillaliz - Are you sure DR jhvw can't come to NYC this fall too?  ;)

Sorry, they have to take turns...I haven't talked to him in a long time... do you know what he's up to?   ;)

DR Cillaliz - Well, if Sam wants to see A Chorus Line...  Although, I can actually help you out with tickets for your other choice too.  ;)

I'm seriously thinking about Legally Blonde. I'll talk to her in the next couple days so we can plan things.  I totally caught her off guard tonight.  So I'm sure she hasn't thought about it at all.

Granted there is no justification for a high speed chase.  Yet I don't think he should be responsible for the lousy piloting skills of the news teams.

I don't either. High speed chases really irritate me. Usually the cops know who the person is, where he lives and the offense isn't that serious. There is no reason to do it and it risks way too many peoples' lives

Thirty minutes of MONK's un-character-motivated behavior and annoying quirks and I need a drink.  I can't believe this show, which I enjoyed the first two seasons, is so lacking in humor, sense, and good writing.

;D

Keith's response "What is that show still doing on the air!"

Friday evening greetings!  This morning my mother and I had a lovely scenic drive through Cuyahoga Valley National Park from Stow, OH, to Cleveland.  She read newspapers in the Foundation Center library while I attended an Advisory Board meeting.  We left Cleveland at 2pm, drove through Columbus rush hour traffic in torrential rain, and arrived at her house just before 7.  I arrived home just ahead of DS Rob's girlfriend who drove from Canton, OH, encountering the same weather and traffic.  We all had pizza for dinner and now I'm unpacking and thinking about crashing.

DR Cillaliz - I haven't had a chance to tell you how thrilled I am that you'll be in New York when we are - and that you're bringing your DN Sam along!

Jane - thank you.  I did a lot of driving in less than 36 hours to attend a 2-hour meeting, but it was better than being at work trying to look busy on my last day before a 10-day vacation!

Thanks Ginny, I'm really looking forward to it.  I just sent Sam an email with lots of theater links.  I'm hoping she'll stop in here soon

I didn't get a chance to see BURN NOTICE as I had planned to do before prime time began. When I went downstairs, a friend called and said her daughter was having some girls over for a sleepover, and one of the girls who was supposed to bring HARRY POTTER AND THE GOBLET OF FIRE on DVD didn't end up coming, and could she please borrow mine. Only trouble, she needed it then and couldn't leave the girls alone to come get it, so I drove it over to her.

She promised to cook dinner for me one night, but I told her that wasn't necessary. I bet she'll do it anyway.

Once I got back, I had about twenty minutes before prime time started, so I started another MUPPET SHOW episode and almost got to the end. It was the Elton John episode, one of the best of the season. He sings four of his hit songs in ever more outrageous outfits, and then when the Muppets finally decide to all dress like he does, he switches to a conservative suit.

A delightful episode, and Elton was at his cutest (and hairiest except on his head) then.

GHOST WHISPERER had some genuine jolts for me tonight. Good scares and a gripping episode.

One reason I wanted to see the show was that the focus was on the husband rather than on Melinda. Sadly, he didn't take off his clothes this week. :(

I liked the case on MONK tonight, DR Elmore. I thought it was an above average mystery this week, and I did laugh a couple of times at the foolishness.

I found PSYCH's riddle very easy to figure out tonight. I enjoyed the show as usual, but the mystery was quite obvious.

I have some writing to do, so I'll get to that and then head down for bed.
