I know some of you are really looking forward to BIG BROTHER's premiere tonight. As I have done in the past, I won't be watching, but I'll be following along with the activities here and on other forums.

I read that CBS is showing the late night activities on the Showtime Too channel. I get that, and I might set the DVR to pick up one of those and see what's happening on it since it's supposed to be uncensored and unedited. We'll see.

DR Matt, if you're going to follow along on the forums, why not just watch?

And now I am going back to bed.

I also enjoy THE PRODIGAL....but I think COLOSSUS and PHAROAHS are my favorites out of that set.....

While I enjoy the idea of a 1-point hot dog, I have to say, they sort of taste and have the texture of warm Vienna sausages, which kinda makes me want to vomit on the ground. Thank God ketchup is a point-free food...

So if you do vomit on the ground do you get to subtract all the points you had recently eaten?

My favorite Cole Porter song is Every Time We Say Good-bye  which, if my sources are correct, is one of the last songs he wrote.  If they aren't correct, at least it was a good story

Vibes for DR MBarnum's mother. ~~~~~~~~~~~~

Btw, I am VERY much looking forward to tonight's BIG BROTHER.  I wish we got the After Hours show. But we do not get Showtime here.

RE: BIG BROTHER

I can't remember if i posted this or not, but John from Canoe.ca will be doing his recaps from Global television instead.

http://www.canada.com/globaltv/globalshows/bigbrother8/index-preshow.html

If anyone finds any interesting BIG BROTHER sites please post them.

Supposedly at the link below there will be an interesting bunch of BIG BROTHER contests.  I think they may be for Canada only. Although I'm not sure exactly how they would check that.  I may enter if it seems interesting.

I really should watch Big Brother but I can’t get into reality shows.  Out of loyalty I did watch half an hour of the first season.

Good Afternoon!

Back at the apartment for a bit.  As it turns out, I will not have the rest of today free to do as I wish.  Instead, at 6:00 I shall be playing for some National Dance Conference presentation - they will be running a mock audition for A Chorus Line.  So, I get a free dinner and drink, and I get paid too!  And it will be over by 8:00.  This could either be really good or really good, if you get my drift.  ;)

In other news...

DR MusicGuy and Jason (if my voicemail message cut out) - Our favorite waiter is 23; he's originally from New Jersey, and is a major Yankees fan.  He currently lives in Washington Heights, and he has a girlfriend.  Ah, well.  At least he sings like a dream.  :)

And, apparently, the quasi-nasty e-mail I sent out earlier this week seems to have done the trick.  I was reassured that the check was being cut today, and will be put in this afternoon's mail.  Of course, it's still almost two months late, but it's something.  ;)

OH!  And I received a nice little check from the folks at Disney.  Apparently, they recently raised the rates for their contract employees, and the raise was retroactive to this past March, so I ended with a small dividend.  :)

No, your sources are wrong.  It's from a 1940s revue THE SEVEN LIVELY ARTS.  He still had THE PIRATE, KISS ME KATE, OUT OF THIS WORLD, CAN-CAN, HIGH SOCIETY, LES GIRLS, and SILK STOCKINGS to write.

If my iPod were still alive, I would have listened to Ella Fitzgerald Sings The Cole Porter Songbook or to Red, Hot and Blue.  But since it is dead, I didn't.

Yes, it heated up quite quickly as we approached noon. Yes, it's July, so I guess I have to expect it. But how quickly one gets spoiled when the temps cool off.

DR Dan(the Man) - maybe you can get a trade-in like I did with my not-quite-dead iPod Mini.  They gave me 10% of the purchase price of my new Nano.
