Hello, DRMichaelShayne!  How are you feeling these days?  I'm with you about the Oscars: totally apathetic.  I will most likely watch them, if nothing else to have something to bitch about tomorrow at Rodgers & Hammerstein.

I'm loading all of my Chad Mitchell Trio recordings into my Itunes today.  DRBen and Anthony gave me for Christmas the albums the Trio did after Mr Mitchell left the group.  Now I have their entire recorded oeuvre, I figured I'd assemble it all together and binge.

I have to go to a DARLING OF THE DAY meeting this afternoon, and I've got to finish fixes on this Medley from the Mickey-Judy concert for Shauna Hicks and Jeff Harnar before I go.  I still can't figure if the original orchestrator was having a nervous breakdown, because there are so many mistakes, or if the original copyists were totally inept and did him in.  Another mystery.

Hi all!  It’s pouring down rain (where have I heard that before?) as I type this in the land of Sunshine.

I went out to get the paper and noticed that S*O*M*E*B*O*D*Y and I mean some piece of scum put a scratch on Bonnie!  It must have happened when I went grocery shopping yesterday.  It’s on the drivers side back door and is about four inches long.  I’m so bummed!

On the good side, Mom seems to be doing much better.  She made the comment this morning that to just give her another day or two and she’ll be running a marathon.

So, while I still have a couple of doubts, it looks like the NY trip is back on.  Having said that, did you know that I have exactly:

It is now Sunday 2/27/2005 at 11:49:13 AM
Event: Leave for NYC
Scheduled For 3/18/2005  5:50:00 AM
18 days 18 hours 46 seconds or
2 weekends or
19 days or
450 hours (300 waking hours) or
27,000 minutes or
1,620,045 seconds

Until it’s time to go!

It’s nice to read that the show is coming along.  I find the whole process fascinating.

I only wish that DR Elmore was better.  These dad gum doctors.  Do they really know what they are doing?

Less than eighty posts to go for our new amazingly amazing plateau, which we should reach this very day unless we have one of THOSE days.  But, since it's Oscar day and eve, I assume it will all happily coincide.

Now, let's have your Oscar predictions, and LET THE PARTAY BEGIN!

Who am I talking to?  I'm ALONE?  All I've got to say is, and I mean this in the nicest possible way - SARSAPARILLA!

I hope dear reader Hisaka will be posting tonight as she watches the awards tomorrow.

Wow, would they really hire John Travolta to play Edna in HAIRSPRAY movie?

Jennifer, you must learn what press agentry is.  Press agentry has no basis in reality.  They just plant items to keep Mr. Travolta's name in front of the public, and to make sure all of America is getting used to the name "Hairspray".  It happens every day of the week in rags all over the world - including the silliest rag of them all, Variety.  Well, let me put it as simply as I can: Antonio Banderas as The Phantom of the Opera.

I haven't done the address thing yet - I feel weird about it.  I might do it this week - but I just keep thinking that she'll feel weird getting a package from someone who couldn't possibly have her address.

I may wait until MBarnum sees if Michael Forrest will give it to him.

MBARNUM sent me the link to the SHOWSTOPPERS show at the Beverly Crank Hostel next weekend.  Lots of good people - including Robert Colbert and MISS JUNE (You too can have a lovely bust) WILKINSON who can twist all night!  June Lockhart, a close personal friend of DR TD, and a couple of the Hooterville Girls....Laurie Saunders is my favorite Bobbie Jo.  AND Cynthia Pepper!

LOL - I wrote to the people who had the house next door to the house that Allison lived in 30 years ago, and they responded and didn't think it was unusual.  I would think she would be curious and flattered that you took the time to find her.

Oscar predictions.  Here are mine.  Someone will win.  Someone will lose.    Some people will go home very happy and some will go home very sad.  And, when you boil it all down, it doesn’t make a rat’s butt worth of difference because the best person/movie does not always win.

I may hate the picture that wins and love the one that lost.

Tomorrow is Monday and I still have to go to work.  And that is the Oscars.

Congrats on the new sales ranking, BK!

Here is a "ballot" type page for some of the Nominations.

http://www.scubacontest.com/oscar/index.asp?pollid=23

I hate that "edgy" comic Chris Rock is the host....why?  I hate the "new" way that some of the awards will be presented:  some in the audience some with ALL the nominees onstage.  Why?

This promises to be the WORST telecast EVER....I mean it.  The only thing that would make it worse is Debbie Allen and her choreography (which hasn't changed since TV's FAME).

I don't want to watch.....I really am afraid.  :P
