And why do you morn, good George?
TOD: I'd say STREAMERS was the most exciting new American play by a new emerging writer that I saw live onstage during this period. I haven't seen it in a long time, so I don't know how it's held up.
As for last night's LOST
I don't think they showed a preview, which i guess is good.
I ended up watching the show in HD at my sister's house. It was quite good and the info the prisoner gave locke/jack at the end was creepy. In fact that guy is really creepy, i don't care if he is an other or not.
One thing that I was wondering was whether the baby will really be jin's baby. My sis was thinking that they were gonna show a scene at the end showing that sun slept with the other guy. I was saying, "sun doesn't lie, and she told jin she'd never been with another man so it can't be so!"
It was so obvious that she was going to be pregnant though.
Re: last night's AMERICAN IDOL elimination.
I was actually surprised that the bottom 3 were as predicted. Usually there is a surprise in there! I was a bit disappointed that it was kevin and not bucky. But Kevin clearly was not good enough (or going to) win. So i don't mind.
Heading down now to do some chores until it's time to clean up for my lunch date.
WBBL.
Might I just ask where in tarnation IS everyone? As
SPOILER
Even if she HAD slept with that other guy....I think she'd have to be further along in her pregnancy if he were the father.
I can't remember what the timeline is, so they may be playing tricks with us. But I believed Sun when she told Jin she's never been with another man. I think it's "the island"...if Locke, who was paralyzed, can now walk, then surely Jin can father a child. :)
Re LOST:
I suppose the island IS responsible for what's happening with Sun, but I'm not sure I'm so quick to believe every word she says. There really seemed to be a strong, sexual connection between her and her English teacher, and I think they deliberately didn't show us everything that was going on to keep us guessing.
If any IDOL fans want to know next week's theme:
American Idol 5: Top 10 To Sing Songs From The 21st Century
http://www.tvrules.net/modules.php?name=News&file=article&sid=9894
I think Bucky and Lisa will be the next two singers that will leave, and then it will be a shootout. I can't wait to see what they can come up with once we're left with people who can sing AND who have strong audience identification.
The reason I thought she was pregnant before the island is because of a comment that was made on last night's show. Ana lucia mentioned that she and the tailsection people had only been with the front section for a week. That means that she killed shannon only a week ago! I'm thinking they've only been on the island for like a month.

Might I just ask where in tarnation IS everyone? As we head into our final week and a half of March, we're poised to perhaps set a new record, but not if we start becoming lazy and complacent fish.
Just read this on the internet:
- -Veronica Mars moving to its former time slot on Tuesdays for the remainder of its season. - -
I knew UPN had been showing VERONICA reruns on Tuesdays for the last couple of weeks. Looks like now, the originals will be be playing there.
Argh! Makes Wednesday a little less crowded, but now Tuesdays at 9 will be crowded: HOUSE, VERONICA MARS, SCRUBS. Argh!
Do you know when this starts? And is it at 8pm or 9pm?
Why did they wait till America's Next Top Model started again only to switch it to tuesdays?
Okay, time to get some postin' goin' on - NOW. Have people been having probs with the site - I haven't, but elmore has.
Nah, RLP! It's just that I showed up today for a change, and everybody left in droves.
Four is such an even number...and it's divisible by two.
But according to School House Rock!, THREE is a Magic Number! ;)
DR TCB?
He's indivisible.
He's the indivisible man, as it were.
THE 50,000 FINGERS OF DR. T is on TCM tonight. If you've never seen it, watch and be tickled and amused.

You mean the fingers TICKLE you?

I wonder if the number of posts...and posters...we've had thus far today has anything to do with difficulty accessing this site.
I've had considerable troubles this morning getting in....of course, once I got in, I wasn't booted out...but I've gotten strange messages several times saying something about a "sock" in my "SQL".
I wondered where the odd socks ended up...
It took me a really long time to log in earlier tonight.
Paul Zaloom is an OBIE-winning puppeteer and performance artist who has written, designed and performed 12 solo spectacles, including Fruit of Zaloom, Sick But True, and now his latest, The Mother of All Enemies.
A mutation of the traditional Middle Eastern Karagoz shadow puppet play (famous in Turkey, Greece, Egypt, and Syria) about the consequences of being on the fringes of society…EVERY society. Periodically the show is interrupted by cantastoria, or picture performance, an age-old story telling technique; employing his weird and amusing drawings, Zaloom recounts the U.S. Marines repeated efforts to recruit him (he’s sorta old for the Marines: 54. He’s also gay…) It’s all comedy, needless to say.
The shadow show tells the twisted story of an Arab, secular humanist/Quaker/Buddhist/ agnostic/ political refugee/immigrant/queer/ artist/weirdo’s adventures while being comically pursued by various enemies: Syrian Secret Service, Israeli border guards, Al Qaeda, Homeland Security, the Statue of Liberty, Christian “Ex Gay” activists, and U.S. immigration vigilantes the Minutemen. The idiot savant Karagoz foils their evil plans, dispatching them one by one with subterfuge, obfuscation, and cheap puppet gimmicks. They all fail; he triumphs.
Zaloom jiggles his puppets, recounts absurd emails with Marine recruiters, creates the entire soundscape with his voice, and uses drawings to illuminate the perverse workings of our “civilization” with a frontal comic assault. Don’t miss his new work in a four-night run in the Black Box!
I seem to remember a line from a play or musical--"He's been strung up on his own petard!" What's that from?
You're lucky, DR TCB - I saw my cabin on the maiden voyage of the TITANIC when they sent the robot down in 1997.

No mail today for me....no mail.
My you look great for your age. ;D
And a happy "7 Brides for 7 Brothers" Page 2 dance:

THank god that wasnt the picture from the telly series.... a certain actor taht I am not fond of was in that show....
We should, at the least, be on page 4.
But according to School House Rock!, THREE is a Magic Number! ;)
On Sunday, Rodzinski and I are attending a wedding brunch/shower type deal for some friends of ours who will be getting married on the beach in Jamaica next month. (Sadly we will not be in attendence) I am helping to organize this with a friend.
Does anyone have any kicky wedding shower game ideas? We are looking to do something fun and non-traditional. Maybe something that would involve the bride and/or groom taking shots. We are NOT going to construct a bridal gown out of toilet paper or make people guess the number of safety pins in a jar.
We thought about maybe doing a variation on the newlywed game where they have to guess eachother's response. I thought in this creative bunch, folks might have some other fun ideas.
telly.... Savalas?! ;)
I am happy to report that I found Mrs. Beasley tonight. I was beginning to think she was lost but, of course, she was in the last box she could possibly have been in. She is now out of that box and in the house where she belongs. I thought the cats may be interested in her, but they could care a less
Cool on finding Mrs. Beasley.....
I vaguely remember her but she was a bit before mytime.
could be...
It was Drake Hoogestyn... Not a huge fan of his... He exists.
How about a game of trivial pursuit??
I’m not feeling so hot-darn I can’t be sick until after April 2nd.
‘night
Cillaliz, post a photo of you and Mrs. Beasely...then and now!
I shall now be off to write a Sentencing Memorandum and a Motion for Downward Variance from the Guideline Range. Such excitement. It's a copyright infringement case and the defendant was an eBay seller, so it is actually quite interesting.
Pooh sort of looks like a Hobbit.
DR Laura, I thought of you the other day when I was shoveling. There was a cardinal way up in the top of the tree and it was singing away while I worked (it whistled while I worked) anyway, he was beautiful and I wanted to take a photo, but he was too far away
How beautiful that must have been. I see them rarely (there was a pair at the Botanical Garden last year and always several at Boyce Thompson Arboretum). They are never yard birds here.
They look especially beautiful against a fresh show.
For Cillaliz
One of the latest additions to the Phoenix Zoo (the photo from the Arizona Republic, March 21, 2006)
I guess you mean a fresh snow, unless they also were in the Lord otr in Toronto! ;)
Maybe a little page 7 dance to "You're Getting to Be a Hobbit With Me."
That has a nice... ring to it! ;)
Ah yes, a fresh snow....unless it was a different kind of Cardinal, in that case...
This should do it....good night
Pooh sort of looks like a Hobbit.
And one for Gollum!
Sorry for the AMAZON.COM link....
I can't get it properly!
(That's for the few ones who might care ...)
