It's an unseasonably mild day here today. I've been talking to a lot of my neighbors.

Are you saying that the latter caused the former?

I've never much liked Brussels Sprouts.  But I imagine I've never had them prepared properly.  I'm sure they could be tasty, done right!

The "Goo Goo Dolls" are performing the halftime show for the Green Bay Packers football game.

I thought the "GGDs" were "so over".

Perhaps I'm just over 'em.  The lead singer sounds like Neil Diamond.

Most folks buy 'em frozen and then cook them too long so they're all mushy.  And since they're processed with the cores, they're bitter.

To get the best flavor/results, the core should be removed (I do a "V" cut at the bottom of each sprout).  I steam them, add lemon and butter, and then devour 'em.

I love fresh asparagus, too!

Well, I'm off to start prepping lunch.

Have a happy today, everyone!

Do something wonderful.  Do something impulsive.  Take a nap, if you want.  Enjoy the day.

I am such a bad cook; I can never get all the things to be done at once, unless I cook in a crock pot. But I always try!

I have made the cornbread for the dressing and am now making the cranberries.

I wish you luck too, since you promised  to save me some cranberries.  I'll keep the rest of you posted!

Remind me to tell you about the time I dated someone who could have been easily nick-named "the turkey."

ah....perhaps not???   ;)

Are you saying that the latter caused the former?

;)

Well, in a way, yes. Since it's a holiday most of them are home. Since it's warm out many are taking walks or are otherwise out on the street. So, yes, there's a connection.

I've never liked them, either. But I wouldn't like them no matter how they were prepared. I'm serving broccoli.
