Last night we watched the final episode of The Kominsky Method.  I highly recommend this 3 season series.  The cast is fantastic, especially Michael Douglas, Alan Arkin, and Kathleen Turner.

I’m watching Claudette Colbert, too. It’s a pre-Code flick called Torch Singer. She plays an unwed mother who has to put her baby up for adoption, then she becomes famous as a singer. Leo Robin and Ralph Rainger did the score.

I had the great pleasure to see Colbert with Rex Harrison, Lynn Redgrave, Jeremy Brent and George Rose in Aren’t We All? It was magical.

I just mentioned to Keith about informing the Health Department and he thought you were supposed to inform your doctor.  George, did you let your doctor know?

Not directly...at least, not yet.  When I logged into Kaiser's website, I indicated that I got a positive test, but because it was a home test, it won't show in my profile.

One of the options for my new car is a battery heater.  I didn't choose it.  I've never had any trouble starting a car in cold weather...opening the car doors, yes, but not starting it once I got in.

It rarely gets that cold in our part of Washington, and I don't think in your part.  What is the coldest weather you remember?

Years ago (I forget how many), we had a storm that was so cold that everything was covered in a layer of ice.  I think I lost power for either three or four days.  I only remember that happening once.

George I am glad you were able to work from home, and I bet your supervisor was glad you live close to work

Do they pay you for the day or the hours you work?

I use sick leave for the time I couldn't work (before I got the laptop), and regular salary hours for the time that I work.

Wednesday afternoon greetings!  Richard had his LAST burn clinic appointment this morning!!!  NP Erin released him and complimented my work as his home health nurse.  We went to Scrambler Marie’s for a celebratory brunch and I’ve taken a nap.

My look a like nephew is getting married in Vermont on Friday afternoon.  So we have been sent a Zoom link for the ceremony.

We have orders that as many people as possible should watch from one address.....so we shall see what we shall see.

I suppose I should send a congratulatory check tomorrow so it will be at their house in Greencastle when they return.

Personally, I think you should send them a photo of a check.

DR George, how are you feeling? Do you know how long you'll be working from home? Do you need a negative Covid test to return?

I'll stay home tomorrow and Friday (and won't play cards on Friday, either), but I'll try to get a test this weekend so that I can go back to work on Monday...assuming the test is negative.

There have been 13 fires in Tacoma in the last 24 hours.  Several of them were in the Central area of Tacoma, but there was one grouping of three fires in the North end of Tacoma and next door in Ruston.

I heard about this on the tv news this evening, and it sent me on to the internet looking to find the information, even though I somehow knew what I would find.

And, sure enough, one of the fires was in a three-story apartment building in the 5000 block of North Pearl Street.  Yep, that would be my home sweet home for the last twenty years.
