And that is why I am still Catless in Puyallup.
Good night.
George I hope you will be able to sleep tonight.
Topic of the Day: the first movie that came to mind was My Favorite Year. I love this movie!

George, holding you and your family in my thoughts and prayers today. Wishing you much peace and comfort.
I just checked the NY Stater Dept of Labor site, DR ChasSmith. Those three payments from the government for August are all being released today. They should land in my account tomorrow.

This morning my bank received the first of these payments, i.e., the $300 amount less taxes, so at least I know we're in the game. Our announcement had said something about it being doled out in more than one payment, so, as long as it's happening...

Did the doublet and hose make my behind look big?

I have never seen Goodbye, Mr. Chips.

Yesterday a dear theatre friend.....more than a friend, but I don't know the word....mentor is closer.....died of the Covid. He would have been 66 in October.
This was the friend whose theatre was yanked out from under him right after they built a new building.....anyway I think I wrote all about this when it happened back in 2016 or so......or maybe it was 2018.....

For your viewing pleasure -- last Sunday's music rehearsal for Assassins. That's me in the blue shirt sitting up front near the keyboard. This Sunday we add my keyboard.
I have a suggestion for TCB:
How about if you apply to be a foster home for Pockets and her kittens. When the kittens are big enough to be adopted, you can adopt Pockets (if you two get along).
I'm sure they don't want to raise the kittens in the shelter. They probably would love to have her go into a home for a couple of months.
And all of us would love to see the photos!
ChasSmith, that production won’t be zoomed, will it?
On the performance front - I have just been offered the part of Mr. Fezziwig in the DePauw ZOOM production of A Christmas Carol....and also the part of one of the solicitors who come in at the beginning to request that Mr Scrooge donate some money.....
That will be fun.....I am sure.
HUGE VIBES FOR SINGDAW TOMORROW!
I expected to one day play Mr. Fezziwig, but I guess was kidding myself that it was too soon to do so.....
I fell in love with eight-year-old BJ last month when he entered the Staten Island ACC. He weighed too much for the size of my apartment and I couldn't walk him so it was a no-go. This afternoon the ACC murdered him, and it really hurts.

Just read that Tony Tanner died - we had him in a Kritzerland show - weird guy but fun.
I should probably know Tony Tanner from more than this, but I always think first of that filmed Stop the World.
I ordered a lot of groceries from Fairway and Stella helped me put then away when they showed up.
This is a bit of a tardy tribute, but can I just say: the Kritzerland Anniversary concert was amazing!
How are we so fortunate to benefit from this labor of love?

How many days will you be in hospital?
Well, I'm going to go to bed now. Today, we're all going to visit with my mom and probably eat something.
Good night, Jane, and have a good day, all.
DR George, yesterday when you posted about your father's situation, I wanted to post that I hoped his passing would be swift and painless as possible, but I felt I was the gun. I was saddened to read this morning that he has passed, but I'm so happ[y for all of you that it was so quick. Watching my mother linger for days was hell.
So . . . I send my sympathy and condolences to you and all your family. Keep us posted opn how you are.
George, holding you and your family in my thoughts and prayers today. Wishing you much peace and comfort.

My mom talked about how glad she was that my dad died quickly...he didn't linger (like Margo's mom), and he was not in pain. She's still sad, but said that it was a good death. It was quick and the doctors were able to keep him pain free until the end.

Thank goodness he didn't suffer.

Thanks, Jane. That's what she was most worried about, even before all this happened.

For the last few days, I've had all my windows closed, but it is quite muggy right now, so I decided to open the two windows on my second floor and FINALLY let some air back in. In just the couple of minutes since I did that, its' SO much better already! There's a little rain right now, so that helps, too.
Good night, George. Bless you, my friend.
I am finding places in the world far worse than we are. At 1300 Mammoth Lakes, California is double our worst score. Are they on fire?
My sincere condolences to DR George and family.

DR SINGDAW, MEGA VIBES FOR A SUCCESSFUL SURGERY TOMORROW!
MEGA HEALING VIBES FOLLOWING THE SURGERY!
Had no idea the the Catulli Carmina was not really an orchestral work like its predecessor - the band only plays in the first and last movements, I think, otherwise it's all a cappella, not my favorite thing, I have to say. But I enjoyed it and I guess I'll see out the final part of the trilogy.
Just read that Tony Tanner died - we had him in a Kritzerland show - weird guy but fun.

The people on these animal rescue sites are full of misinformation: I just learned that BJ was rescued and did not die today, although I was told ear;ier around 3:45 that he was murdered. I don't know what the truth is now.

Tanner once sacked an actor friend of mine from a show for not putting out.
George, it's good to see you here today.
DR George - good to see you on here today. Hope you are holding up.
I find it comforting to have something, even if it is small, from a loved one.

I agree.
I am sure it helped your mother to be able to share gifts from your father knowing they will be cherished.

Yes. He actually helped found the church way back when. When he got back into going to church, he found out about this group of Byzantine Catholics and liked the way they did things. At first, they were just renting rooms at various places, then they were able to raise money and actually build the church. He was part of all of that.

Still doesn't mean it will happen. I don't have sound to know if there is a time frame with the order.

This is very interesting about your father. When you say "his church" it really is.

Rachel didn't say a specific date, but I think the order was that DeJoy's changes had to be undone so that the election was not affected, so there's a time crunch, at least.
IT'S PAGE EIGHT!! :D
