Well, you've read the notes, the notes were in the throes of the notes, and now it is time for you to post until the cows come home - they're currently in the throes of the throes and that's no bull.

And the word of the day is: CLEPE!

Yesterday, I ushered for a tour of the dance troupe, Pilobolus (http://www.pilobolus.com/). In a word: WOW!! There were seven dancers and they did five "dances" and it was all incredible. Check out their website and if you get a chance to see them live, DO! ;D

Video Player: Season One (and only) of Firefly. Interesting storytelling, with a highly familiar cast, mainly familiar because so many of them were able to find work after cancellation.
Book: Once Upon a Time in Hollywood: From the Secret Files of Harry Pennypacker. The plastic surgeon and the recently excited horse? Oh, Druxy! LOL!!!
CD Player at Work: A few Maucuri recordings (which I will be revisiting) and Twentieth-Century Blues: The Songs of Noel Coward (which I won't - I'd forgotten how everything about this recording is wrong wrong wrong :P)

Topic of the Day: In my DVD player: the new DVDs of "Yentl" and "Rent: Filmed Live on Broadway."
"Rentl" - the musical story of a young Jewish immigrant who disguises himself as a shicksa so he can get into a ladies-only boarding house, the only place he can afford... wait, didn't Tom Hanks already do this one?

Workies.

Well, I am officially a bachelor for 11 weeks (with a weekend reprieve in March). Anthony left at 5:30 this morning with his new GPS unit attached to the dashboard and a car full of stuff. This time he plans on stopping, probably in Ohio, sometime around 2 or 3pm. Then he will drive to Chicago on Saturday and spend the day with his cousin and get to Wisconsin on Sunday.
Lots to do here at the office. I have no viewing or listening plans at the moment other than my usual BBC listening. At this very moment I'm listening to the 1920s Radio Network Live Stream.
-
And no one else is here at 7:15 am so I shall take my leave as well.

And the word of the day is: CLEPE!
And The Song Of The Day Is: HELLO, DOLLY!

Hi, Ben. ;D

Travel update: Mr. Morelli has made his first stop in Pennsylvania. The GPS unit works well and helped him stay on route once he got off the GW Bridge. At this rate he'll be in Ohio quickly. The drive through Pennsylvania is long but once he gets to OH it's quick. I told him to wave south to Ginny and Richard while driving through Ohio and the same for Jack when driving through Indiana.

TODAY IN THEATRE HISTORY...
Forty years ago tonight, DEAR WORLD opened at the Mark Hellinger.
I just noticed that the show had 45 preview performances--wasn't that a rather long period for a show at that time? I knew that there was trouble but I never realized it lasted that long a time.
-
DR JRand, thanks for the recording of Inner City. But most of all, thanks so much for sending it electronically, album notes and cover art included! I'll be checking it out later today.
Needless to say, besides a few various podcasts, this will be what is playing on my computer today.
-
Yes, for that time it was a very long preview period. I have a friend who was a dancer in the show and he said it was a tumultous experience. It changed drastically from conception to opening.

DR MattH re: the Grey's/ Private Practice cross-over.
Even though they implied it would be last night IT WAS NOT. I don't watch Grey's but ff and there was only one call. And on Private Practice there was the same call.
The real cross-over will apparently be NEXT week. And it looks like much of Grey's Anatomy will feature addison. Since they will be in Seattle i'm not sure exactly how that will work. The promo sort of made it seem like the 2 hours might just continue the story. But i sort of suspect that Grey's Anatomy will have its regular storyline and then the addison storyline. And then Private Practice will either just continue there and have them go home. Or else addison's scenes will just be in seattle.
I won't say that Private Practice is my favorite show. But it's been pretty decent this year. The cast is excellent.
-
Yeah a new Ghost Whisperer tonight!
-
Well, I knew next week would be the major crossover between GREY'S/PRACTICE because it's featured on the cover of next week's TV GUIDE. I may HAVE to break down next week and record PRACTICE, but I'll decide then what I'm going to do. It might depend on how much of the story is left to tell.
I love all of the cast members of PRIVATE PRACTICE. They're all exceptionally talented and charismatic performers. But last season, with everyone so mopey about wanting love and needing love and the frustrations about that, it got old FAST. There weren't nearly enough patient story plots to suit me, and when everyone in a cast is jumping into bed with each other, there's nowhere to go unless you bring in more new staff for them to switch over to them. No thanks.

I'll likely choose BURN NOTICE to watch while I eat lunch today. Of the shows on the DVR, it's my favorite though THE OFFICE and SUPERNATURAL are right up there. With so many episodes of FRIDAY THE 13th to get through this weekend, I doubt I'll get much else watched today and tonight (except I will record GHOST WHISPERER and watch it around 10.)
-

There weren't nearly enough patient story plots to suit me, and when everyone in a cast is jumping into bed with each other, there's nowhere to go unless you bring in more new staff for them to switch over to them. No thanks.
I actually thought (because of the promos) that the only cross-over was this week.
I'd say record Private Practice and then do what you said and see how much of the story is left. Like i said the promos are sort of vague. But they make it seem like the 2 hours could be extremly connected (like the first hour might just continue). Although i can't see Private Practice focusing totally on addison. So we shall see. i'm gonna record Grey's next week and just ff thru the parts that don't feature addison.
If the purpose is to get Grey's viewers to watch Private Practice then i would think they would have to spend some time showing the Private Practice characters (other than addison). But it would be sort of weird for them to do that during the first Grey's hour. I guess we'll see next week.
It's funny we have the opposite problem (you watch the first show and i watch the second).

The previews show Addison hearing that Derek was going to propose to Meredith. And when Meredith came home last night the whole bed was cleared off of rose petals except the one she found. (Which in Meredith's mind could easily go to Derek being with someone else, but that's just a guess) I can see the vast majority of the episode being the romantic triangle while doing brain surgery. And it wasn't just Addison who went to Seattle Grace from Private Practice.
BTW, there were no ghosts last night

We went to see the surgeon yesterday. He thinks they got it all. I have to go for a full body scan in about 3 months time for them to be sure. If anything "lights up" then, we will have to address whether I would need surgery or more chemo, but at the moment he is optomistic so hurray for that.
I don't mind telling you I am getting very discouraged about the healing process. I do not feel that I have made any progress at all. I have some hearing loss which I was told yesterday may not be reversable.
I have no voice and now I am being told it may be up to a month before I am able to speak.
The pain in my throat and the back of my tongue feel as if I have been gargling shards of glass, again they are telling me it can be a month before I see any changes.
I cannot lie down at all without being strangled by my own thick saliva. So I sleep in a chair.
I vomit at the drop of a hat.
I was hoping that once they stopped putting things in me that I would start to show some signs of improvement. Sorry to be whining but I am feeling a bit sorry for myself today.

Oh, that's a good one--I hadn't thought of that. I had seen the clip with the lawyers coming to Kate's house as a sneak peek on the internet a few weeks ago and sort of surmised that it was probably Ben trying to pry Kate out of her comfort zone. But the idea that Ben wants to (or needs to) "adopt" another child as he did with Alex is an intriguing one.

I will also remind that my pal David Wechter went through this hell, but he came out of it perfectly - over two years later and he's still coming up roses, health-wise.
-
DR vixmom, you've just come out of the other side of hell and I'm surprised you're feeling as good as you do. I think it's great we still have you and I want you to be back to yourself ASAP. but I aso know it's going to take a while yet. I send love, devotion and my heart. I wish I could send instant results as well.
You may whine and rant all you need, Vixmom. You are justified. Next year this will all be a memory. Not a good memory, but a memory nonetheless.
thank you!!

Vibes to Vixmom.
Evidently, the "Octuplet Mom" spent some of her $165K settlement (from a mental asylum fracas) getting really, really bad plastic surgery. Oy.

Well, remember that Ben has lost his daughter and may actually want Aaron as a replacement. Of course, Aaron must go back with the rest of the 6, but Ben is known for having MANY ulterior motives.
Everything is possible.

Actually, DR DAW, you might reconsider this concept as a "series".....I'd hate for you to restrict yourself to just one kind of "fracas" in your life's story.

I was hoping that once they stopped putting things in me that I would start to show some signs of improvement. Sorry to be whining but I am feeling a bit sorry for myself today.
DR Vixmom I think of you all the time. I know they said it would take awhile before the side effects begin to aside, but how can you not be impatient for this to all end.
You were brave & courageous during the treatments, far more than I would ever be. Whine all you want & don't feel guilty about feeling sorry for yourself, you have every right to.

The other night Keith was complaining about barking dogs & why didn't the people take them in. Sound carries in the country & they were a good distance off. In the past I would have heard the sounds before Keith did, now I can't hear them at all. I had to go to the window to verify any sound vaguely representing barking dogs.
DR Vixmom, I hope some of the hearing loss returns, & what you have lost isn't excessive.

It could be because a**hole developers with their a**hole contractors put in McMansions next door and there's a perverse pleasure to watching the a**hole realtor not be able to sell the property. That's just conjecture, of course.

I've missed something again.
Who is Edith?
Does she read this forum?
Would wishes of any kind from total strangers mean anything to her?
If so, she has my best for a wonderful marriage.

Works for me...everytime someone drives up to the McMansion next door, there are 4 very loud dogs that go charging out of the door and up to the fence to express their displeasure.

Fossils found in Colombia reveal an ancient giant snake that stretched 42 to 45 feet long and weighed more than 2,500 pounds. "This thing weighs more than a bison and is longer than a city bus," said Jack Conrad of the American Museum of Natural History in New York.

Thank you Dear Jane.
I assume Anthony is in Ohio (at least) by now. He's been on the road since 5:30. I heard from him around 8:30 and he was in Pennsylvania. He said he would be stopping around 2 or 3 depending on how tired he is and where he is (in Ohio or Indiana).

I've written a little over three pages, showered, and shall now mush on with the writing - I think I've made the decision that I needed to make and it will require me to adjust some earlier stuff, but that will be relatively quick to do. Just a few lines added and a few deleted will do the trick.

My trip to Kroger was very strange, starting with my least favorite deli clerk. She barely acknowledges the customer and never, never asks, "Is there anything else you need?" Then an old guy got in the check out line behind me with one item and pushed the clerk to ring him up before my transaction was complete. The coup de grace, though, was finding a hand-written note on my windshield, complimenting me for driving a Pontiac Vibe, voted one of the safest small cars. The note also has some anti-import, buy-American content that I suppose one should expect living in a redneck steel town.

I am royally PO'd at DVD Planet, AKA Collector's Choice, AKA Digital Eyes, AKA Deep Discount. They completely screwed up an order back during their 25% off sale and ended up shipping something I had cancelled not once, not twice, but THRICE. So anyhoo I went ahead and accepted the item since it wasn't worth me spending money to send back, and lo and behold I get a PAST DUE NOTICE today, which is incorrect anyway. They are trying to charge me the difference between the sale price and their "regular" price. I just got off about a half hour call with a guy who was at least polite and understood the problem, not that it's fixed yet. Grrrrrrrrrrr.....

We went to see the surgeon yesterday. He thinks they got it all. I have to go for a full body scan in about 3 months time for them to be sure. If anything "lights up" then, we will have to address whether I would need surgery or more chemo, but at the moment he is optomistic so hurray for that.
Great news!!! ;D

ASSOCIATED PRESS (http://www.foxnews.com/story/0,2933,489305,00.html)
DRUG FROM GENETICALLY ALTERED GOATS APPROVED
WASHINGTON — The Food and Drug Administration made history Friday as it approved the first drug made with materials from genetically engineered animals, clearing the way for a new class of medical therapies.
GTC Biotherapeutics said regulators cleared its drug ATryn, which is manufactured using milk from goats that have been scientifically altered to produce extra antithrombin, a protein that acts as a natural blood thinner.
The drug's approval may be the first step toward new kinds of medications made not from chemicals, but from living organisms altered by scientists. Similar drugs could be available in the next few years for a range of human ailments, including hemophilia.

That bell is still a big help to her though, so thanks for that again, I don't really mind it that much anymore. I'm hopeing her voice and taste buds come back soon, and when they do, I have two things to do:
1) Buy her a LOT of orange juice
2) Get Skip to make her those eggs she loves and send them here. (Just kidding Skip, but she still loves them)
And, that's pretty much it. So, valentines wishes to all, and I'll hopefully be on again soon!!!

DEEP THROAT - THE MUSICAL (and not about Nixon!)
-
I did receive two additional Blu-ray discs to add to my ever-growing review stack: HIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL 3 and the original HIGH SCHOOL MUSIC (Remix Edition).
I'm actually looking forward to to seeing them. I like the characters and am anxious to see where their stories take them. The second one looked spectacular in high def, and since the movie is obviously going to have superior production values to the two made-for-cable movies, it should look even better.
But they are far down the stack of discs to be watched.
-
I watched BURN NOTICE while I ate lunch. Wonderful episode with the always appealing Joel Gretch as "The Client."
If NBC had a brain in its head, it would take this series away from its sibling network USA and put it on NBC.
-
Hiya, Vixter! Glad to hear you are taking good care of your mom. I know taking care of moms can be difficult. I've done it.
-
I did get 4 1/2 episodes of FRIDAY THE 13th watched. The first one was a continuation of the first season finale and by far my least liked episode of the ones I've watched.
The one I'm in the middle of now is a blatant rip-off of PHANTOM OF THE OPERA except the Phantom is a symphony violinist who has his own "Christine Daae."

Last night I fell asleep while watching Hammer/Columbia's THE TWO FACES OF DR. JECKYLL. . .so it's still in my dvd player.
I've watched YENTL twice, once actually listening to the commentary (something I don't really normally do except in rare instances). . .
I've listened to ALLEGRO twice since it arrived.
I've been working on listening to WORKING ON A DREAM, the latest from Bruce Springsteen and the E Street Band.

I did manage to skim through today's AS THE WORLD TURNS. Luke and Noah were on having a ridiculous squabble about moving into their own apartment. Argh! And they're in the previews for next week too with what looks to be the start of the murder mystery plot.

Now, I have some computer maintenance chores to tend to and then I'll hop downstairs to pick back up with the little shop of horrors where FRIDAY THE 13th - THE SERIES takes place.

I just heard from Anthony. He is in Indiana. He has decided to go the whole way to Chicago. He's about 2 hours away from Destination 1. He was filling up at a gas station. He said the weather in PA and OH has been beautiful. He took off his coat it was so warm in the car. It's still light out (it's 4pm where he is) and he's wide awake. He pulled off at a rest stop and took a nap earlier so he thinks just driving through to Chicago is the best way to go.
-
It sounds like Ant has a good plan. He can always pull off & spend the night someplace if the weather changes. I show it is a little hazy in North Chicago (where Bryan is), otherwise nice. Napping when he was tired was very smart. Continued travel vibes!

Is he dragging out that old donkey act again?

It is a lot more fun now that I get to be the donkey!
-
are you coming to the show?
Oh, how I wish that I could! :(
-
We visited some friends last night. Their dog and duck are great playmates - the duck chases the dog and then the dog grabs the duck by the neck. It really was quite amusing to see them play but some day I suspect there will be a final winner!
-
A bit more recent than the Chuck Berry song I alluded to
DR Tomovoz is the Henry Higgins to my Eliza Doolittle with respect to knowledge of popular song... :)

Where was the librarian when the lights went out?
In the dark!
-
Q: What happens when you cross a librarian and a lawyer?
A: You get all the information you want, but you can't understand it.
-
What did one math book say to the other math book?
" Do you want to hear my problems?"
-
Thank you. I'll be here all week...
-
I would have a thought the librarian would allow books to be stolen - their morality would have been compromised in the "cross'.
-
Those jokes should have been swallowed up by the Isocoles Triangle DR D'OR
-
Yes, they're horrible! :)

DP Colin has to keep asking who are these people who send him messages on facebook and know his PC is back! LOL

Don't threaten me!

You want to look away, but you can't!

Just tell him that he has his own stable of stalkers.

Uh oh. I'd better take the dog out.

The last stable he was in he remembers DR BCT as a Shepherd!

I trust DR MBarnum is appreciating the singing talents of Ms Van Doren and Ms Mansfield

I wasn't the shepherd. I was the baby!

Nice photos, DR Cillaliz. You look great, BTW.
Thanks

If NBC had a brain in its head...
You mean the NBC who managed to move Leno to 10PM?
der Brucer
That's the one! In terms of ratings, I think they'll live to regret this decision. It WILL save them a buttload of money, of course.
Not if it tanks. ::)
-
The last stable he was in he remembers DR BCT as a Shepherd!
I wasn't the shepherd. I was the baby!
I bet DR DRAWS would have had better swaddling.

DR VIXMOM
VIBES and more VIBES for a speedy recovery. I can't even imagine how frustrating it must be to be going through all that.

No. Pink just looks better.

What a wacko day. The sun was out for about ten minutes, otherwise it's been raining all day. I began the day revising pages from yesterday. After that, I just made the decision I'd been struggling with. I went back and adjusted all the pages, that needed adjusting then wrote an additional few pages. Then I went to lunch at the Studio Cafe and knew I'd done the wrong thing. I'm glad I did, however, otherwise I would have wondered about it and fretted about it. But having done it, it just seemed wrong as can be. The interesting thing is that two weeks ago on a jog I came up with what I thought was a very good way to finish. I wrote it down and I just should have trusted that. But long before, I had this other thing in the back of my head that I thought might be fun and interesting, but having finally done it it was a little convoluted and didn't feel right or hang together right with the rest of the book. So, I went back and rewrote all the rewrites - I stupidly didn't do a "save as" and save the way I'd written it originally. Actually, I did cut and paste the three most important pages' original version into another Word document, so I had that. All that took most of the day. I still wrote five pages, though, and now it's on to the final two chapters. I'll probably start the new chapter later tonight, and then try to finish that (it will be longer than the other chapters) by Sunday, and the final chapter will be fairly short, at least as I'm seeing it.

Very nice pictures, Cillaliz! It also looks like potential for a new avatar! ;D
You look terrific!!!!
-
Well my other dad (the 102 year old) is unlikely to remember who he was married to. I just telephoned his hostel. He is coping OK still - has his sense of humour intact. At least he is not in a fire risk area.
-
Ok, my mom was trying to tell me where they ate lunch today but neither she nor my dad remember the name. They said it's a chain with a big porch and rocking chairs and they have them in the South. Does anyone know what they are talking about?

OK, I'm off to go outside and watch the hummingbirds.
Later, kids!
-
I saw the "chain" first DR Cilla and assumed it was a prison with which you had an affiliation.
Big porch, rocking charis and cool breezes. I would like that. Of course that will probably be a nursing home in a few years.

I like that idea too. And if the nursing home has rocking chairs, a big porch and cool breezes I can think of a lot worse places to be

Hi folks,
Just popping in to say that I'm still here at Thelmas and it looks like it is going take at least 2 more weeks before I get back into my house. Sigh.
Cilla, I think the place your parents are talking about is Cracker Barrel.
-
I will get to go see my girl tomorrow. I am SO looking forward to that. I'm just sorry that it will just be a visit and I won't be taking her home.
-
Cracker Barrel!! I found it.

You're right DR Danise. I found it with a google search about the same time you were posting. I called my mother and she said "Now why wouldn't I remember that"
-
They (Cracker Barrel) usually have a store as well. You can buy all kinds of old time candies and "county" stuff.
-
I will get to go see my girl tomorrow. I am SO looking forward to that. I'm just sorry that it will just be a visit and I won't be taking her home.
At least she'll know you are still around and ok. I bet she'll be delighted to see you
-
We have one out by where I live. It's just off the interstate.
-
Yes, I've been to one before. I just had a totally different image with the way my mother described it.

I hope so. I don't want her to think for one moment that she isn't wanted or is never coming home.
-
How is the house going? Have you been there lately? What have they completed so far? Inquiring minds want to know!
-
I wanna go home too. It's nice to vist with someone but it's just as nice to go home, if you know what I mean. I'm grateful that Thelma is letting me stay here but her ways aren't mine.
I miss Lost, Ugly Betty, OLTL, Heros, Top Chef, Battlestar Galatica, etc, etc.

VIBES THAT DR DANISE'S CONSTRUCTION IS COMPLETED AHEAD OF SCHEDULE ~~~~~~~~~~~
-
It's going to be so nice when it's done. You and Sheena will be there in no time. It just seems like forever!
-
Well, the house isn't moving as fast as I would like it to. I think they waste a lot of time.
They had the new bathtub (not hooked up) in bathroom, framed the new closets, put some insulation on the walls and I'm told that since I was there on Wednesday, installed the electric outlets and are working on the duct work for the central heat and air. I was told that would be finished this Saturday.
We'll see.
I'm trying to keep my cool the best I can but I don't think I'll be alright until I'm back in the house. Sometimes I think I'm not going to make through this without having another stroke.

She is done with treatment and needs to recover from the side effects. She can't talk and still can't eat. Her throat hurts pretty bad from the radiation burns. But she got a good report from the doctor this week.

Is there anything else going on I should know about? Vibes that need to be sent?
-
I'm so out of it.
-
Danise, just keep hanging in there. Some of the things they do really do take a lot of time. I think HGTV makes us all think it can be done overnight or in two days and it just doesn't happen that way. Come here and vent anytime.

I know. And I wish I could come here more often but I don't feel right using Thelma's computer.
I wish I could have afforded the wireless card but those days are gone. Sigh.
I just keep taking deep breaths. I know it's been really cold (for us) down in the upper 20's lower 30's so I'm sure that is part of the hold up. I know it will come together.
If it had been summertime here a lot of the stress would have been off of me because Sheena could have stayed in the kennel/cage I have for her but with these low temps, there is no way I would leave her outside.
In the kennel, she is warm and safe but it costs $19.50 a day for her to be there. I worked a deal to get some money back if I supply the food but it's not much if she has to stay there over a month.

Have a nice visit.
-
I've never spent this much money in my life either. With job cuts on the way I'm stressing about how far in debt I am now. But it HAD to be done. I couldn't live in a house that had a temp of 51 degrees in my living room.
And one thing fed off the other. I couldn't get Central Heat & Air without doing a rewire. I couldn't keep the warm or cold air in without new windows. The roof was in really, really, really bad shape. My homeowners insurance was dropped a few days after I hired the guys to do the roof because their inspector drove by sometime in November and said the place was in disrepair.
And (Like the contractor said) if I was going to do all that then I might as well get the other things I wanted done so I would be happy with the house.
I was so sick of the washer and drier being in the kitchen. I really did need the utility room added.
-

It will be bitter sweet but I can't wait for my girl and I to be in our snug little house.
-
Danise, keep breathing. These things always take longer than one wants or expects. At least you aren't living in it.
How is Bill?
-
Danise did you get the insurance reinstated?
-
Bill is doing well. Thank goodness. He goes to bed at nine so Thelma and I go as well to make the house quiet for him.
-
Danise did you get the insurance reinstated?
Can't do that unil I can show pictures that the roof has been done. Which hasn't happened yet.
-
LOS ANGELES – The fertility doctor who helped a California woman have 14 children, including octuplets born last month, is now facing a state investigation on top of harsh criticism from medical ethicists.
Thank goodness! I think this was so very wrong.

I don't think they will be able to do anything about it. At the best they might prevent something like this happening in the future, not that I expect this to come up too often.

I'm trying. I know I'm going to be very happy. I just wish I could invite all of you over to see it. I am taking lots of pictures as the work is being done. I can't up load them here because that would put them on Thelma's computer but when I get back home and get unpacked (Merry Christmas!!! Just thought I'd say that now) I will put them on PhotoBucket for you all to see.
-
Well, I hate to say it but I guess I'd better scoot. I need to check my emails and do a bit on online banking.
Take care you wonderful people and I will be in touch whenever I can.
Hugs and vibes!!!!!

DR Danise - Just remember, any sort of progress on your house is progress. Better that they take their time, than to rush the job and cut corners. And with the amount of work that they're doing on your house, it actually sounds like they're moving faster than "normal".

Nice carpets, Jose!
I was going to say "Nice weave!" but he doesn't like anyone mentioning that!
-
DR TCB, have a good show tonight.
-
Well...
It was a good day of auditions. For me, at least. ;) However, I do have to make sure to actually get at least eight hours of sleep tonight. -Even though I'm in the Central Time Zone right now, I guess I should still turn in at my "normal time" - not matter what the hotel room's clock radio says. I don't want to cut it as close as I did this morning getting to the venue. (Spoo!)
-
DR TCB, have a good show tonight.
Thanks. I hope I get through the show tonight. I am not feeling very well.

I'm in the Central Time Zone right now
And so is Anthony. He just called. He arrived in Chicago at around 6:30 Chicago time and he's happily visiting with his cousin (who lives in an amazing condo just off Millennium Park). He will have a full day in Chicago and then he can leisurely drive to Wisconsin on Sunday.
-
DR TCB, Feel better in the next few minutes vibes!

DR Ben-Thanks for the updates on DP Ant. I'm glad he decided to go the distance to Chicago. Now he can relax and have a nice visit.
-
DR Ben - Glad to hear that Ant made it to Chicago. Does he plan to do some toddlin' while he's there? -Or at least head to Sidetracks tonight? ;)

Still raining out. I'm almost through watching a motion picture on DVD, after which I think I'll try to do a few pages.

Isn't there a song about Walking In Memphis?
. . .which I quoted on Jose's facebook page. . .I asked him if his feet were ten feet off of Beale. . . ;)
-
Nice wedding pictures. Best wishes to the newlyweds!

I am off to watch Ghost Whisperer. looking forward to it.
re: burn notice. I wish NBC would show it. It is not on any channel i get. Nor is monk or pysch. :(

James Whitmore and Keenan Wynn were so funny as the gangsters in KISS ME KATE!
DR MBARNUM - I am glad you are enjoying your WEEKEND IN HAVANA....Mr Payne is very handsome, and Mr Romero is a fine dancer....and Miss Alice Faye is terrific + you also get Ms Carmen Miranda....and Technicolor.
-
DR JOSE thanks for the carpet photos....the blue/black/gold floral one is my favorite. I think DR DANISE should consider it for her new living room.
Thanks for the photo DR LAURA......RIP to the folded up butterfly.

Oooh... What a great actor, and a wonderful man. He was more or less a fixture at Ford's Theatre in DC, and I was fortunate enough to work with him there during All I Really Need To Know I Learned in Kindergarten. Rest in Peace.
-
DR Cillaliz - It looks like it was a special day for everyone involved.
-
Well... My eyes are tired. My brain is tired. And if I start getting ready for bed now, I can get a good eight hours of sleep. So...

I managed to get that half episode watched and then 7 more making a total of twelve episodes watched today. That will leave 14 for the rest of the weekend. I wish I could finish it tomorrow, but I know I won't be able to do that.

Thank you (and everyone). Hey I'll even take back the crack about lawyers and morality!
-
So sorry to read about James Whitmore. I always liked him.
-
I did stop watching FRIDAY THE 13th and watched tonight's GHOST WHISPERER. A very entertaining episode, but it was very irritating that Melinda kept thwarting Sam's intentions. Yes, the payoff was worth it (kind of), but I was hoping for a bit more than
Melinda finally making the move. Still, the ghost story this week was very involving, and I had tears in my eyes again during the final revelation as she recited the dedication in THE LITTLE PRINCE.

-
DR Ben - Glad to hear that Ant made it to Chicago. Does he plan to do some toddlin' while he's there? -Or at least head to Sidetracks tonight? ;)
I doubt he will head to Boys Town. He will just eat his cousin's great cooking, make sure his phone is well hidden from the dog (who chewed on it last time he was there) and go to bed. He said after 14 hours in the car all he wants to do is sleep for another 14 hours.

When I read DR Vixmom's post this morning, I hoped the cards I'd mailed on Tuesday would arrive today. Glad to hear that they did and to DRs Vixmom and The Vixter:
:-* You're both very welcome! :-*
-
Richard and I had a great time at the home show! He bought me some obscenely expensive cookware that we both will enjoy. We talked to a lot of young business people about things like gutters, leaky basements, and kitchen countertops.
-
DR Ben - glad to hear that the worst of Anthony's drive is over. Chicago to Wisconsin is a snap.

You must have never seen BATTLEGROUND (1949). He got his first Oscar nomination for that, and he was quite young.

I guess I'll head downstairs now and go to bed.

Took a beautiful shower and whilst taking said shower worked out all the details of the ending - love when that happens. Everything is now sketched out and ready to go.
