Well, you've read the notes, the notes had a few errant periods, and now it is time for you to post until the period cows come home.

Since there are multiple errant periods, would that be a myriad period?

I'll start the balls rolling on our story, The Errant Period.

Bar-B-Q...now you're talkin' my language!

Most southerners or southern dwellers I know are very opinionated about BBQ, and  there never seems to be a consensus about the best place in town, or the best style---the red sauce, the yellow mustard-based sauce or the vinegary style. I am always up for some good Q.

I like to go somewhere that has good sides, like collards, beans or brunswick stew or cornbread, but so far I haven't found the magic combination of BBQ I like that has collards I like.

My favorite at the moment is Fox Brothers in Atlanta. I like all their sides except the collards, which have a tomato base that's too spicy for my tastes; the people are friendly and you can sit outside. The downside is, now it's been discovered. (It's kind of in a no-man's land.) The Fox Brothers are passionate about what they do and that's what it takes.

I looked them up to get a link and see that gayot.com lists them as one of the top 10 BBQ restaurants in the country. Gayot (never heard of them but I'm sure DR Jose has) also has a place in Oakland on their list: Everett and Jones, and in NY they have Daisy May's.

Good morning, all! I have a day at Toyland, after which I shall return here, chill out and then take myself down to Joe Allen's for dinner at 6 pm with Messrs John Vogel, William Hicks, and a young lady working with Mr Vogel on the McGlinn estate. They will attend tonight's FINIAN'S RAINBOW performance, and I will go backstage and hang out with the cast and band for a while. The good news is that on Thursday night the production was recorded for the NYPL Theatre video collection of Theatre on Film and Tape.

This is my day. Now I have to make the bed and tidy the apartment. Heigh ho the glamorous life!

For the first time since we've lived here, the house seems warm and comfortable all over. We should have replaced that beast years ago...probably would have saved a lot on the energy bill, too. But I guess it's human nature to want something to last until the bitter end when you know you'll have to spend 7K for a new one.

Good news about the taping, DR ELMORE....especially for those of us out in the stix.

DR JOSE - yes I saw that Willie was mentioned on that ugly poster after I wrote about R/J......I had just seen the ad I described in the left wing pinko commie newsrag NUVO.  I am still not interested in such a production from THIS particular theatre.....one that once cast at 75 year old man as Peter Pan in PETER PAN as a concept, that he only "thought" he had remained young with the lost boys.

Me, too, Larry!

Greg had a big shoot when all of this was happening, so he was very happy to come home and have everything taken care of without having to do research on which company, etc.

My friend and fellow "flood club" member had her whole system and ducts under water during the flood. She recommended this company and I got the same designer and installers that she had, so it felt sort of "family-like".

Well, one good thing is that the presenting station, WETA, saw the rough cut this week and weighed in, so we can't change it too much! They really liked it and we will certainly take their comments to heart during the bloodletting....errr....editing.

Today is Saturday.  It is a work day. Oh well.

Sounds as if MR BK's writing is going along very well....I look forward to photos of said paintings.

They let people from Studio City into Montrose?  Alert the media!

I like a nice BB-Q pork sandwich on a bun.....but not during the diet.  I don't like my BB-Q if it is too sweet!

Saturday morning greetings!  Yesterday was another long day with Mom, but kind of relaxing because we had to sit and wait for the IT guy to arrive to connect her computer to the high speed internet.  Then we had to wait for the Mac expert HE had to call.  Then I waited until my niece arrived from Illinois and escorted her back to our house by way of a sandwich place where we met Richard for dinner.  Couple of hours of TV and I crashed!

DN Laura is taking over with Mom for a couple of days so I can get some of my own stuff done.
