Hi Jane!

Yes, - anytime something is out of one's ability to control it - it can get very frustrating.

I hope things work out well with the schools.  Sometimes they are just slow - and it seems like they are intentionally trying to torture, but really, they are just slow at doing everything.

I hope he hear's some good news soon!

And since I was sad, grumpy, and not feeling good I stopped at Best Buy and bought the Sci-fi set of 1950s Universal movies. Shopping always makes me feel better.

JRand, you are correct...the horror set doesn't come out until October, or so I was told at the store. I guess I thought they were being released on the same date.

I talked about the Equity Showcase contract in yesterday's posts.  It's very unappetizing for everyone except the actors.  It's understandable, of course, for the pittance they receive, but very unnerving for the producers and creative team.

Dear DR friends - I am sad to report that my mother-in-law, Harriet Lacy Dole Palmer passed away about 3pm today.  We are about 95% sure that her memorial service will be Monday afternoon.

We have been with Richard's brothers and niece doing some of those things that need to be done at this time.

MBarnum I didn't realize the service would be close to you.  I'm glad you could make it.  I'm sorry, but perfectly understand, you didn't get to the house afterwards.  I hope you can get together with Jim.  I'm sure it will help.  Once again, my heartfelt condolences.

I would rather pay the actors more money in exchange for having some security in their continuing commitment to the show.

I have just returned from my friend George's service. It was very nice and was held at a chapel in the old Hollywood district of Portland.
Jim lives in Keizer, which is near Salem.  I gave him my phone number and so I think we will get together for lunch sometime and talk about George and stuff.

Right now I am exhausted and am ready to hit the bed...but it isn't even 7pm yet.

Michael, my prayers are wtih you.

Thanks DR Julie.  This process could continue through January, or longer.  :'( ;D

If Bryan gets just one interview & one acceptance, to anywhere, we will all relax some.  He could have applied to more schools but it is too time consuming & expensive.  He had to pick & choose the schools he calculates are most suited to him that offered the best chance of accepting out of state students with his GPA.
