Did DR RLP (who is not nude this evening) mention that WITH A SONG IN MY HEART and I'LL CRY TOMORROW are up for preorder?

I remember I'LL CRY TOMORROW from college. It had quite an impression on me.

Jane, I think there are cases where the animal CAN get well, but it takes more care than can be given in the typical animal hospital, where the staff is limited and has many animals to care for.

I'm glad you were able to keep My Sin.

so true.

we are too, she was a great cat with loads of personality, the one that watched out for the boys when they were babies.

DR Tomovoz, do you know if that is actually David Campbell on the left, or just a model?

It's David, I do believe.  About the same time as this show, he posed nude in BLUE magazine.  He looks about the same as he did when I worked with himin 1999.

Hmmmm....I know that Susan's singing voice belonged to Jane Froman, but were these numbers specifically recorded for the film, or were they previous recordings?  And if so were they somehow re-recorded with new orchestrations?

I remember the title song being beautifully sung and orchestrated....

And of course, DR JEANNE - what I remember most from I'LL CRY TOMORROW is "When the Red Red Robin Comes Bob Bob Bobbin' Along" - sang it for weeks after seeing the movie.  It was the first time I ever heard that song.

At that point in his career, David had no qualms about nudity, as BLUE magazine could prove.
I always assumed that it was Mr. Campbell.
And yes, I have that cd, and yes, I enjoy it tremendously.

Baked!?!?!?!?  Hmm, it seems to me that you could do the initial fry before you fry the cod and zucchini fritters, and then give them a second fry (a.k.a. The Belgian Treatment).  -Hmm...And then if you can whip up some tzatziki... YUM!
True, but that makes for a lot of fried stuff on the plate.  Even I have my limits!

Isn't tzatziki what I eat on my falafels? If not, it's a similar name.
Oh, I know the anti-falafel contingent here will be cringing.
I thought Falafel was the hound dog on the Nestle's Chocolate commercials of my childhood, the one who proclaimed "N-E-S-T-L-E-S, Nestle's makes the very best
CHAWwwww-Klet!"

That David Campbell, but, I'm almost certain that production of COMPANY has long since shuttered.

MattH - when I say greenish/yellowish skies, I'm not sure if it's something you'd notice unless you had the original DVD to compare it to.  But, even more of a question would be - given the amount of flack there was when the SD version came out (with Bob Harris taking my side, and Ned Price admitting they hadn't looked at their tech reference print or ANY reference print and admitting there was a yellowish cast to the whole film), well, I do wonder if they quietly redid and fixed the transfer for Blu-Ray and HD-DVD?  Because I've read elsewhere that it looks great on hi-def, although I could swear I remember reading that the HD version, at least, was the same.  I think you said you had the Blu-Ray, right?  Can you do screen caps?  Because if they corrected it for Blu-Ray (or HD-DVD) that would almost get me to get into hi-def.

Well, if the MoMA ends up screening it again... -Or is it available on DVD?

*I also was a little bit unsure of seeing a movie about Cinerama on small screen.

DR Jose, re: The Young & The Restles: Out of the Ashes. I haven't found it ridiculous or sublime. I've loved every bit of it!

Sorry i hit send too fast. I meant I haven't found it ridiculous. But it has been sublime!

I think a lot of people have mixed feelings about what they've done (they had a one week stunt where a garage collapses with different people being featured/rescued each day).I've loved it. BUt some have not.

Okay, let's see if we can make some illustrative screencaps work.  First, the main title from the original DVD - forget the SHARPNESS and DETAIL, which is truly lacking - look at the color of the bricks - that is the color they've always been in every single IB Tech print I've ever seen, from back in 1956 through the ones I've owned and seen through the years.

Now, here's the Blu-Ray version (which matches the Ultimate Edition DVD transfer, and, I assume, the HD version).  Note the YELLOW - this main title has NEVER looked like that.

My experience with distemper in cats:
Adults: They can recover.
Kittens: Most of them die; but if they live, they usually have neurological damage. I never had any survive.
