I'm sure that we'll never know the truth about the speech. ::)

Except that...it was boring!  ;)

DR Ginny - I won't get to meet Baby Grace until January. I'm planning to spend a week or two in San Diego after the run of My Fair Lady is done. I believe my parents will be heading out t/here in a week or two. I may get to see Baby Ariston in NYC the week after next.

As for the Topic of the Day...

Besides "Moon River"...

I seem to remember a recording of Andy Williams singing "Little Green Apples". It was in one of those box set collections my parents had.

TOD:

Y'all aren't probably going to be familiar with "my favorite Andy Williams" song, but it was on one of his late 1960s albums (don't remember the title).  The song is "I Want to Be Free".

Words and Music by Tommy Boyce and Bobby Hart

"I want to be free like the bluebird flying by me
Like the waves out on the blue sea
Your love has to tie me, don't try me, say goodbye

"I want to be free, don't say you love me, say you like me
But when I need you beside me
Stay close enough to guide me, confide in me, oh-oh-oh-oh

"I want to hold your hand, walk along the sand
Laughin' in the sun, always havin' fun
Doin' all those things without any strings to tie me down

"I want to be free like the warm September wind, babe
Say you'll always be my friend , babe
We can make it to the end, babe
 Again, babe, I gotta say

"I want to be free
I want to be free
I want to be free"

Sigh.

I have a 45 rpm that was part of the "Christmas" when I got my first hi-fi record player.  It's Andy Williams singing Hawaiian songs....Blue Hawaii, Sweet Leilani and two others.  I played that record THOUSANDS of times...that and the other 45 rpm....Bing Crosby singing "White Christmas" and three other songs, including the Latin version of "Adeste Fidelis" which I committed to memory and sang along with him, even in the summertime!

It would be another couple of years before I discovered film music and soundtrack albums.

That's the smart way to eat, BK.   I love it when I can sit down to a good midday meal.   Other times, though, the main meal gets relegated to an early evening time slot.  Some days just don't allow time for anything other than a quick bite.

Another Jekyll and Hyde "Concept" CD.   I doubt they really changed the concept.  Do I need it for my library?  Hell yeah!

LOL. Does that mean I should get "Wonderland" for my collection?

BK,

I totally agree with you on INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF DOOM.

Aside from the opening sequence, it is a turkey.

Well, I've done the show.  So, it's the complete-est in me that must include this in my library.

I do like Wildhorn, and I just looked - I have both the concept and Broadway recording of Wonderland - have I listened to them?  I don't know. Did I pay for them?  Probably not -I have very generous friends that feed my habits :)

I do not, however, have Bonnie and Clyde  At least I think I don't....

We had a nice variety of foods to choose from (among?)...Jose opted for the stuffed eggplant (with "loose" lamb...tsk!  Who knows where that lamb had been!!!).  I had the tilapia with roasted veggies:

I think it is supposed to be very good for you to eat your largest meal of the day for lunch. But I don't know that it is supposed to be good for you to only eat one meal.

Does anyone know how to tell if you have a cold vs allergies?

My niece has been blowing her nose like crazy for like 3 weeks. My sister is convinced it is allergies, since she doesn't have a fever or any other symptoms. And she has 100% of her energy.

I'm not sure what i have. I have just felt 65-70% for the last 3 weeks. So haven't been exercising that much.

I would love to bike. But i hate exercising hard when i don't feel 100%.

I hate eating in the dark.

But the worst thing (to me) is when they darken the restaurant after you've already been seated for an hour. It probably doesn't bother anyone else. But it drives me crazy. I feel like i can't see anymore. :)

By going to a doctor? Sorry, but I don't know of any other definitive way.
