Wow. The composer and lyricist pulled out, too?

Yes.  It's almost happened several times before, but things really came to a head last Wednesday.  There have been many discussions between the three of us since, and we all felt this was the best and, in fact, only course of action.

Wouldn't it have been easier to just tell the book writer to take a hike?  I mean...three against one?

;)

I'm going to try to post a few photos

The first is an attempt to show the wall paper before. It's just a scrap on the wall at this point, but it did cover everywhere. Turns out I didn't photograph it...ever.  Guess that alone speaks volumes

Well, I'm off to my sister's to put up more blinds...hopefully, it won't take too long.

Have a good day, all!

The entry is inside the stone tower, that's why it's a strange shape...a triangle with a curved wall.  I thought it was a turret but have learned it's not, it's a tower.

Sweet photo of Boo :-))  Cilla, you paint so very well.  You have also motivated me, I'm oiling all the furniture, not the fastest job to begin with, it is more difficult one handed. :)

DR Jane - I'm on page 100, right in the middle of the book group meeting at Nell's.

Thanks!  Actually, I need to oil the woodwork in the photo.  It got a fair amount of water on it when I was cleaning the walls.

Thanks Laura!  I'm actually going to hire someone to do the stairwell and may just have him do the hallways too.  That would mean I only have a few more rooms to paint...

The trick is going to be to pick out a color for the hallway that goes with the yellow/gold of the dining room, the tan of the living room and the pink of the entry.  If I can pull that off, it will have a very nice flow to it.

Easier said than done.

The book writer would probably have to be bought out.

Perhaps he doesn't want to sell.

Oh my, and I'm reading as slowly as possible.  I'm into book three, page 400.  They are at the lake house now.  Sometimes I want to shake these sisters and ask what their problem is ;D  Do you feel that way?

I'll put the book down and begin THE ELEGANCE OF THE HEDGEHOG which needs to be read by the 8th in order to discuss it with my book group.

Good thing Keith was in nearby when I reached to far & toppled over.  I was trying not to have to stand up & walk around the chair I was oiling & sit back down on the floor.  I'm wearing socks & was on a hardwood floor.  I could feel myself slipping & realized I was going over.  I let out a little squeal to get Keith's attention & realized no way could he reach me in time.  I'm very pleased with myself, I managed not to spill a single drop of oil and I kind of tipped over.  I was already low to the ground so no residual damage was done.

Are you sure only the furniture is "well oiled"? :D

Be careful, Jane!!

It worked fine when I did the same motion on the carpet, it was the slippery floor that got me.  I might have a slightly bruised knee.  I'm sure I will have sore muscles tomorrow, they are already hurting.  I'm really out of shape.

Now I need to put everything away & clean my messy work areas.  I want a neat house tomorrow, my anniversary gift to Keith. :)

There is no way I would drink & do this, klutz that I am.  Poor Keith, if I late getting back from hiking Sherlock (which I skipped today) he worries now, I mean really worries.
